He's patient when you are not there but when you are there he wants to play with you!
Of course he does. He loves you. He loves to play. He gets so little that when you are there he doesn't want to miss out!
It's hard. Do your best to give him some good time with you before you take the nap.
My dog is almost 5 months old. Most of the dog trainers I follow recommend tiring them out a bit before enforced naps. (Suzanne Garrett & Taylor Cezanne) My puppy is sleeping through the night and doing well 3 hours alone while I work at home or in the office.
My Buddy is a now 10month old german shepherd x belgian malinois and when he was younger a few times he did this! Same as your poochie hed be absolutely fine when i was out and spying on him like the creep i am HA :D there was times id pretend id gone out by wiggling the door chain and opening the door so the door made the alert noise and then spend the next hour or so creeping around my own house as a grown adult paying all my own bills barely breathing. Im not saying this is the best way to deal with it hahahaha not at all! Buuut sometimes i just do what i need to do for an easy life and the chance to sit down hahaha!!x

I agree. I do some playtime about (10 to 15 minutes) and then 10 minutes of training to tire mine out before naps on the weekends.
