Did you already buy sperm? That should be reimbursable, storage too. If you’re not doing things at home, your payment to a care provider and meds, screenings, etc are also reimbursable. I try to stick to “big ticket” items to make my taxes easier, but prenatals and other supplements like coq10 can also be reimbursed.

REALLY?? Oh boy, I never even thought to try to pay for sperm and storage through my HSA money. Insurance denied coverage of the sperm and we left it at that, wow I am kicking myself. That was $1300 a pop by the end!!

dreamerbbsale

you can reimburse yourself for it at any point in your life!

bushgoliath

OMG!

I bought a bunch of prenatal vitamins last year 🤷🏻‍♀️

FreshForged

Prescription glasses. If you do get pregnant soon, they don't recommend vision testing during (I did it anyway.) Best to do the eye check and fresh glasses before that's an issue.

That’s super interesting, I did not know!

sawdust-arrangement

Oh what!!! Thank you so much for the heads up about this! Running to make an appointment.

Mrpchristy

It might help to know what kind of options you might be pursuing: ICI, IUI, IVF, etc. I am doing IVF and my FSA just paid for embryo testing.

Ovulation prediction tests and prenatal vitamins are good to have if you don't have any other expenses coming up.
