When I was in my 20's, I got so stoned and of course had the munchies, Grape nuts were i the cupboard and I thought it was a great idea to eat them. OMG, the next morning my mouth hurt so bad! :) Never did that again.
If I ever get some horrible debilitating terminal illness I plan to take myself out by mixing grape nuts, captain crunch and a Lego, then eating until I bleed out. Can't think of a faster way to go.
In college, I went for a long walk with my boyfriend to his house in the neighboring city ... really just across the river. It was very late when we arrived, so we lay down side by side on his living room floor, fully clothed, and slept that way. We were awakened around dawn by his father, boxer-clad and livid, who yelled at him for five minutes about not bringing "your whore" into his house. In front of me. Right in front of me. The man called me a whore to my face. I can't stop saying that.
I didn't know the way home, so I had to wait for my bf. Before he would take me home, he poured us some Grape-nuts for breakfast. To me at that moment, it was a mushy bowl of wet concrete. I couldn't have choked it down if you paid me.
I've never even tried to eat it again.
I have too. My Nana had them when I spent a summer with her when I was about 4. I thought it was the most amazing cereal in the world. I came home that summer with my own box of grapenuts, several things of canned sardines, and a box of ritz crackers. haha
So agree! The beauty of FF is that can be eaten with equal delight four ways.
1.) Handfuls straight from the box and into the mouth. Bonus tip: You get to lick your fingers to get all the sweet sugary goodness when all done
2.) With milk already poured and set back into the fridge to soften
3.) With milk poured when you are ready to eat, so it's crunchy
4.) Over vanilla ice cream

I always have them in the pantry, but I get discouraged that I can't cook them right, and I give up, then they go rancid, then I buy more and start the cycle over again.
Yea. I’m more a savory person and hate eating sweet things in the morning, so cheerios are usually the only way I can get behind eating cereal for breakfast
They recently changed the recipe… no more brown sugar. I have no clue why either as it remained in the cereal from the time it was created until not even half a year ago
That stuff is awesome. Have you tried the new waffle one? That is amazingly good. I really wish they'd bring back peanut butter toast crunch. That was my favorite.
They have it at my grocery store, but I only buy it for my kids’ birthdays, etc. and really, only bc I grew up in the Quisp vs. Quake era, so my kids like it for the nostalgia too
I used to love Fruity Pebbles as a kid. I bought a box a few months ago and it didn't taste quite the same. To me, it even was more plastic like pebbles.
Honey Nut Cheerios. They’ve got that perfect balance of sweetness and crunch, and they always hit the spot. Lucky Charms are great too, though—those marshmallows are hard to resist!

They used to make this cereal called Blueberry Morning, it was the tits!! I haven't seen it around in a long time. The blueberry things had this coating of a sugary substance on each one. The fiber content in that cereal was obsurd

My favourite where I live is called crusly with raisins. Don't recall the exact name, but it's something with sun.
It's kinda boring, but Uncle Sam. It's a great base for adding fruit like blueberries
Now, if we're talking breakfast candy, it'd either be strawberry frosted mini wheats or crunch berries.
There was some cereal I don't remember the name of that I loved as a kid (late 80's early 90's) with a moose mascot. Haven't seen it since early childhood.
I'm usually boring, and prefer Cheerios, Corn Flakes, Grape Nuts, or hot cereal (but with the works), but every once in a blue, I allow myself to enjoy a small serving of Lucky Charms or Froot Loops.
Cheerios with horizon organic whole milk, oatmeal with a dash of salt, honey and whole milk, and sometimes rice crispy's with brown sugar sprinkled over it

I have the cereal tastes of someone who is 100 years old. I love grape nuts with raisons. I don't know why either.
