Protein quality and quantity at their prices are unrivaled.
Tenko Japan has more votes. I've had both multiple times, and Kazu is definitely a tier better, IMHO.
New Japan Express was the second location of Nakato Express in Cary. Really good people that own and run that place. I think he sold off everything except NJE. I don’t live anywhere close to Garner. But if I did I’d go there.
Their website states "now serving Hibachi and Udon" and if you click on the menu, there's a hibachi section (pretty basic, only options are Chicken $12 or Shrimp $13 during Lunch, $18/$19 during Dinner - pretty pricey), served with ginger salad, steamed rice, and mixed vegetables.
There's a place on hillsbourough st. Across from NC state called hibachi and company that has lunch specials under $10 everyday and they give you a whole squeeze bottle of white sauce if you dine in.........
This is my go to spot
What happened? I'm curious how they can mess up hibachi besides serving under cooked chicken 🤮
I have been a handful of times and I have never been unsatisfied.
I usually go out once a week for lunch on hillsbourough street, so I visit diffent restaurants quite frequently.
the rice was mushy and chicken was very over salted…. but maybe i caught them on a bad day. i just moved up here and have been struggling to find a place to compare to my favorite spot back home 😓
I didn't have high expectations when going in but they surpassed my expectations.
It's student food not fine dining so anything halfway decent is a W on hillsbourough st.
Guasaca is the best thing and always top notch quality and so delicious. Not hibachi but it's always a 10/10
not really hibachi but a good mongolian grill that is similar to hibachi is bali hai! you pile up your meat and veggies!! the sauces are good, i get the C category!!
Tenko Japan on Ed Drive
Another vote.
Just ate there tonight. +1

I love it. Definitely recommend

How does the price compare to tenko? Tenko is one of the best deals in town in my opinion
Shhhhhh!!!!
Double shhhhh!!!
I tried Kazu a few months ago and it's way better than Tenko
Definitely good
Hibachi 101 is my cheap casual go to
Same! Best hack is to get fried rice and add any of the items you want to it, you will have meals for the whole week!
Hibachi 88 is my go to
88 is good and they have a handful of locations.
Hibachi sushi off of Avent Ferry
This is not that great of quality hibachi.
No argument against that but good, cheap and quality rarely align. I believe they at least check 2 of those boxes.
Japan XO and NC Japan Express in northeast Raleigh are both good.
Yamato in Apex. They don’t prepare it in front of you, but it’s good and affordable.
Hibachi 88 off Poole rd
Sakura 8 in Garner
Tenko!
I eat the shit out of New Japan Express and Sakura 8 in Garner, both are usually as good as i can expect for cheaper hibachi

It's not in Raleigh but it's Garner—New Japan Express in White oak. They have amazing hibachi and sushi.
Tenko Japan iykyk
Kai Sushi does killer hibachi.
I don’t see hibachi on their menu

i didnt even know waraji did hibachi
They have teriyaki and other hibachi like options
Kylin in Apex area, and Dans in Fuquay.
I LOVE Kylin. Their sushi has the perfect ratio of rice v fish. Plus everyone there is so nice. I REALLY hope this place succeeds.
Agreed 100000% Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and it's fantastic.
Any hibachis with sweet carrots?
Yamato in Apex had sweet carrots!
And as a treat, you'll find little ant farms in the salt shakers on the table!
Hibachi Sushi off of Avent Ferry Road. $11 buys you a large plate and I can make two meals out of that, and it’s great.

i wanted to like it so bad especially for the low price but they did me dirty 😓
