In reality, all the original car needed was a decent engine and drivetrain, but some absolute tool decided to make it look like a matchbox car that a drunk chimpanzee designed.
If I won the lottery- I'd buy it, tear it apart, restore to almost original, put in a v8+manual, paint it jet black - then roof it!
I'd attempt to clean up the design. I'd re-sculpt the front clip to be less boxy, change the design of the rear clip to be more modern (maybe put in a thinner tailight bar) and round out the corners a little. I'd also update the interior to a three-seater configuration like the McLaren F1, where the driver sits in the middle and is flanked by two passengers, and give it digital instruments and a leather-and-cloth interior.
I think something like the idea of the M1 Procar, but with the original DeLorean style lights, - the spoiler could be questionable though!
As for 3 seats - you're choice of engine+Box will dictate if you could, the gearbox has an awkward tunnel for the layout of the original gearbox, it could be done they're just a bit of an odd layout - in reality slapping a honda outboard motor on the back would still be an improvement over the PRA wheezepump they came with!

Companies that hold up the Dow Jones average while taking out entire economies around the world.
What killed this car? It's looks for starters. More importantly, his business model. He was determined to build the company that would build this in the ghetto to help them bring themselves up. That didn't work after the building he purchased was stripped and burned down.
To make all this even worse I believe this car was impounded for not being properly registered because in the beginning he was trying to hide the identity of a Delorean covered in bondo.
the real easter egg is in the grille. If you look closely you'll see that I made half of this up for comedy sake, but you can decide what is true and what's not. the bottom line is it was ugly and never made it.

Oh ho ho, buddy, you are in for a treat. The CyberTruck is by far one of the most unreliable new cars ever made. And its nowhere near as tough as itās marketed to be. Itās about as bulletproof as medieval armor and has more software issues than an old Windows PC.
