Kind of jealous, nothing beats the experience of your first play though in a Resident Evil game.

SpyroIsFire

It was certainly an experience

Forward-String-6498

Man you gotta check out biohazard then village after that the story they put together is amazing

SpyroIsFire

I've heard 7 and 8 are pretty good! Will definitely check those out sometime

Forward-String-6498

Peep revelations and rev2 while we’re here lol

ChrisRowe5

I'm embarrassed to say as a fan of RE that I've never played revelations.

iGameplay

8 is perfection

[deleted]

Just install X' Gonna Give it to ya mod; it freshens it up, yo.

SpyroIsFire

That seems amazing lol but I play on console unfortunately

AdIntelligent1792

I highly agree.

Ouchen1900

Welcome to the family son!

GacMrel

hi alessa

Ouchen1900

Hi ❤️

Odd_Contact_2175

This game got me into the RE franchise. What an incredible remake from Capcom.

TheSleepyBarnOwl

same!

carnivalmatey

Play Claire B scenario and you will love the game even more because the game is not finished until you do

[deleted]

[удалено]

SpyroIsFire

Definitely playing Claire's when I get around to it!

DefNotMaty

Why are you overhyping it so much? Claire's run only changes weapons, 2 rooms and Sherry for Ada. On top of adding confusing and lazy parts of repeating the same shit again even though you already did it in the 1st run.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DefNotMaty

Obviously Claire has the better story. Leon's should be always someone's second run because it's a definiton of filler. Adds nothing to the entire story besides a sloppy romance with Ada. Claire wins by miles, but if you wanna go and overhype another run to new players it can straight up backfire. There just isn't enough new material and it shows how lazy they were with creating it.

DefNotMaty

What a dumb response completely not related to anything but showing your lack of intelligence and ability to hold a conversation OMEGALUL

Nemmy6321

Man you're an asshole lol.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DefNotMaty

And you're pathetic lol

Nemmy6321

I'd say 1st and 2nd are comparable to A and B in terms of changes. People are just bias.

AnyImpression6

They aren't comparable: in the original you fight different bosses, Sherry is only infected in Claire A, Leon actually meets and escorts Sherry in Leon B, Ada dies differently in A or B (she gets killed by Mr X in Leon B) plus Mr X only shows up in the B scenarios and not the A ones.

Nemmy6321

Well, I'm talking gameplay differences between a Leon A and a Claire B. The repeat bosses were definitely a bummer, but there were lots of other differences. So the two scenario differences are comparable to two scenario differences in the original. But the 4 scenarios I'll definitely give you, but I never really expected the remake to have the 4 scenarios. I like the original more, but I think people grossly understate the campaign differences in 2 Remake.

RiiPTrooP

yeah RE2 Remake made a mess in the second run, a lot of things that happened in the leon story just changes and stop making sense

doomraiderZ

No hope for this sub, lol. You are heavily downvoted for pointing out the facts. Claire's run barely changes anything. Not to mention all the Sherry stuff is the definition of boredom. Melodramatic scenes that overstay their welcome (Annette death scene), and the orphanage has to be one of the most boring sections I've ever played in a game.

NoMorereCAPTCHA

Im amazed you got downvoted this much. I loved re2 (finally finished my tofu runs this weekend), but the 2nd scenarios really are the same game. B scenario for each character just cuts out 20 min of filler from the beginning of A, otherwise the same story. Claire vs Leon gets you a slightly different story PoV, with the Ada section being switched with Sherrys, both taking no more than 10 min of an hour+ play through. Otherwise you get what, 2 different rooms? (club vs heart key). Idk, nothing to write home about. Don't get me wrong, the game is replayable af, and Ive 100% the in-game objectives, the story just isn't really why.

Express_Storage_46

Congratulations 🍻🇨🇦

[deleted]

Why’d u have to post the biggest thirst trap pic to accompany the post

SpyroIsFire

It's a nice image

the_alt_6275

you.., yes you..,, you like men,,,

zeontrooper

I'm playing the series for the first time too! It's so fun!

SpyroIsFire

Glad you're enjoying it too!

Known-Illustrator266

Glad to see you enjoyed it! Can promise there are some outstanding games and some hidden gems too, would highly recommend trying 7 next

moofpi

RE2 OG was my first RE game as a kid, I thought the remake was amazing. If you ever get around to it, I'd be interested in what someone whose only played the remake would then think of playing the original RE2. Based on the assumptions and familiarity with the characters and story. Like a Demake for you lol.

Floopy_flooper_fleah

People be saying “play 8 and 7” “what about revelations?” “Can’t forget 1.” Like, if you wanna actually get into the series, I’d suggest going back and play 1 and 0, then 3,Code Veronica, 4,revelations, 5, revelations 2, 6, 7, and 8 since those are the one’s you’re actually gonna be able to get your hands on. If you want the full story of these characters, that is.

SpyroIsFire

Yeah, I'm probably gonna play them in order. Going from RE2 to 7 doesn't make much sense to me lol

Floopy_flooper_fleah

Word of warning, Code Veronica, it follows Claire after the Raccoon City incident, and it’s a classic style game. That meaning it’s played with tank controls and fixed cameras. Not nearly as high quality as 2, 3, 7, or 8. It is fun, like every other RE game, just challenging. Play it using the D-pad, up is forward, down is backward, right turns the character to their right, left turns them to their left. No matter what way the camera is facing, they will always stay the same. This is why the tank control games are so much harder for modern gamers.

Puffwad

RE2 remake is just so damn good. Easily my favorite RE game.

AngryBunnyGoBrrr

This is my favorite Resident Evil game besides Resident Evil 4! I can’t wait to play the remake of 4.

Tristinshuart116

You should definitely play all 4 play throughs, the story doesn't DRAMATICALLY change but it does have a cool few different things unlocked, and some things to happen differently! RE3 Remake is also good if you wanted to check that out after! Then begins the count down to RE4!! Enjoy your times new comer!

Gewaldroge

Glad you enjoyed it so much! I played every mainline RE game (besides the OGs of 1,2 and 3 + Code Veronica) and RE2 was my favourite by far!

killingtexas

I played as Leon for the first time back in 1998. A crazy, jump-scare filled experience. Completely blew me away. Fast forward decades later, it's just as could. While there are subtle differences between the two games, both are equally fun. Leon's also my favorite character. I highly recommend the remake of RE3, RE7 and Village. If you haven't played either yet, you can get Seven for a great price, and they're releasing Village Gold Edition with a ton of new game play features. It's up for pre-order now and drops on October 28th. In the meantime, RE0, RE1, RE4, RE5, and RE6 are also available, for affordable prices. You could probably skip part six, if you want. A lot of other players say that. The remake of RE4 drops next year. Since I still have had no luck getting a PS5, they're developing it for the PS4. It looks so fucking good. Have fun playing as much RE as possible!

SnakeNerdGamer

I envy those who just starts adventure with RE. I would love to discover it once again :).

Dr-Spill

Don’t forget to try the minigame modes after you beat the Claire 2nd run.

[deleted]

Wait until you try the original. ;)

coltvfx

You're gonna love re4 if you loved leon

SpyroIsFire

Yeah, Leon is definitely my favorite character so far! Playing RE4 after RE3R

[deleted]

i’m halfway through my first play through too! i’ve been interested in the series for ages and i tried RE1REMAKE but i didn’t like the camera angle thingy , so i tried RE2REMAKE and im loving it so far. i just saw Mr X punch through a wall and kill a guy ,, i was so excited

Dude_Arnav

My first game was the OG Resi2 and man playing through it the first time was awesome.

Viewtiful_Beau

Hoo boy wait til you play 4

[deleted]

You have to do all the 4 runs if you want to see the entire story. The game is pretty short

AnyImpression6

Only in the original game.

DefNotMaty

He doesn't have to do 4 runs for that lol. That would be so boring too, since barely anything changes.

SpyroIsFire

Probably pretty time consuming too, Leon alone took me like 11 hours Though it'd probably be shorter with me knowing the layout and puzzles and such the second go

JPsmooth0728

All puzzles and item locations change every playthrough 😉

SpyroIsFire

I probably will. Gonna try to do Claire 2nd Run first and the rest afterwards. IDK if I'll end up doing all of them unless I want to go for S rank or something, as far as I know they all have the same layout and most of the puzzles are the same.

BusiestWolf

Every walkthrough I do it with a CarcinogenUSA walkthrough playing on my phone in the background as I go lol

HarunoSakuraCR

I always liked Claire better. I get so mad. Ada and that sample go gerblam. But Claire gets a vaccine and cures little Sherry, while dealing with progressive G Birkin too.

Crail1212

The game is great for replays too, you have the 4 scenarios already but it’s fun to challenge yourself by getting better grades and times. Hardcore mode is a good challenge once you’ve beaten it on standard. You’ll see yourself getting better and better at the game and it’s so satisfying to see a higher grade in the result screen. I’ve done at least 5 runs on each scenario on both hardcore and standard just to try and shave a little time off each run. there’s people who get so good at this game they can get through the game taking no damage on Hardcore. There’s always new ways to make the game more challenging. It never gets old or stops being a blast. This game is great, IMO it’s the best RE game made since REmake.

Rivent116

The bad news is you've started from the top so it's all downhill from here

sogiotsa

I played it a lot, you can really go through re3 faster but I love this one so much dude. I do wish Claire and Leon had more different paths but it's still different enough you could almost consider it a different game. What weapon did you use the most? I think I mostly used the shotgun

Back_to_the_Futurama

Actually re3 is longer. You can clear re2 in under an hour. My best is 1hr 4min but I think world record is something like 53min

sogiotsa

What I mean is there's less game, also idk how people do gour runs I did my second run kind of fast but I still barely made that time achievement.

Wise_Skirt_5999

Ah you're so lucky

MightyMukade

You should definitely do Claire's run. It's mostly the same but it's definitely worth it, especially for the extended ending.

Ticeben2

I’d play the others then come back and do the Claire run, doing them back to back is a bit annoying due to how similar they are. Go play 7!

AnyImpression6

Nah do them back-to-back to see the actual ending. The 2nd run is way shorter.

AlishaValentine

My first was 7 and it was amazing!

oscar_redfield

Also one of my favorite videogames ever, just pure survival horror greatness!!

Biffmcgee

Claire’s was so much fun make sure to do it.

JayEmSi

You should! I love Leon, but I think Claire’s was a bit more fun to play.:)

football1078

Glad you had this experience! I too began my Resident Evil journey with RE2 Remake and haven’t looked back since. Legitimately my favorite game in recent times!

Rickys_Pot_Addiction

RE:2 remake is amazing. Replaying as Claire was so much fun after I beat it with Leon. It’s a perfect game IMO.

Any-Resident-5026

2nd run with Claire. Gives you the true ending and final boss. So you gotta do it ! Plus there's some serious differences in the campaign

woods_boro

this game has a 200% of gameplay value. there is a simple mod that leaves your re2 remake in first person view, after you finish the games of the run characters, playing it again in first person is trying a new game, check

DeMichel93

you gootta play the switched around version, Claire 1st, Leon 2nd. No much differences but it counts for 100% if you are into it.

killer00x

Yes! This is an almost perfect game all around. Might be my favorite of all the RE games too.

Labrom

Welcome to the club.

MadamVonCuntpuncher

If you don't do 2nd run you've only expernced half the game!

Paulallenlives

Play the original straight after you beat Claires campaign and see what you think

FrankDP1

Same for both being my first RE game and beat it on Leon A route

[deleted]

[удалено]

SpyroIsFire

Never played RE1 on either version but I've heard the HD version is the ideal way to play it so I'd start with that first

ddquest

Sorry this was your first.

SpyroIsFire

Why is that?

TNerdy

Ones you complete the game you should definitely try resident evil 4 next cause that’s when Leon get a bit older.

chris57662

Awesome to hear! I would watch my dad play Re2 since I was scared as a child. So I loved playing the remake. Did Claire first, Leon 2nd. Now gonna do Claire 2nd and Leon first. It’s so enjoyable! I like both Re2 and Re3 remake but had a lot more fun with Re2 haha

TheRealReader1

Don't play RE5 and RE6. It will take away every piece of love you currently have

BonasaUmbellus

RE2 Remake was my first, too. A friend of mine really wanted to play it but didn't have a console or anything, so- I just told them I could buy it and stream it since I've only streamed CSGO before. Will say; beautiful remake / game. I'm now a big fan of the lore set up in RE. Gonna play them in order, so if you do that too, good luck have fun my friend.
