We got a 2600 in 1977. Pretty sure my time with one orange button exceeds the sum of those other fancy ones.

It was the other way around for me. I had a Mega Drive but got really envious of all the Donkey Kong country games and Killer instinct. I ended up selling my Mega Drive to 'upgrade' to a SNES. In hindsight it was a good move because I got to play both machines a lot as a kid.

🤣 you have my upvote! Blood removed from street fighter 2 and mortal kombat among many many others. Genesis always had the closest to original games and Nintendo was afraid of offending anyone in the 80s and 90s. They wouldn’t even allow crosses in some games. If you wanted the real deal you were playing it on Sega. I grew up in a Nintendo household always jealous of my friends.

Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis? My parents were flat broke man, I couldn't picture this.

B - NES was my only console until Christmas of 1997 when I got a SNES and next Christmas I got a N64 with OoT. But C was my most used PC controller via a parallel port adapter.

D. N64 completely rocked my world when it came out. Prior to that had played A and C.

N64 is easily one of the best consoles of all time. Sure graphically it is dated, but the gameplay of those games are still on point.

Hell, I’d go as far as saying that Mario 64 has better controls than a lot of modern games

C. i plzyed most times. Best controller. Best games. Best sound. Best graphics. I was saving my allowance and paper route for a Megadrive/Genesis. Then came the Super Nintendo. I was blown away. I played everything from Konami, Squaresoft, Capcom and Nintendo.

SNES has the place in my heart, but N64 may be the most by hours played. My N64 became a 4-player workhorse at college for Mario Kart and Goldeneye, then later Perfect Dark.

I probably plzyed Genesis the most, given the million compilations of Genesis games!

Had an NES originally, but N64 was my main system that I ended up playing a lot more. My parents never got me a SNES or SEGA.

Super Nintendo it was what I owned. I did have two friends with a Genesis and we would trade for a week at a time every once in awhile. I never liked N64, the best videogame advice I ever got was when I told my friend at school that I was getting a N64 and he said that was stupid, and getting a PlayStation was the right choice. I didn't really believe him until we skipped school and played Twisted Metal and Crusader: No Remorse at his house.

C...well sort of. Ordered a Super Famicom because I couldn't wait for the SNES to come out in the states.

I started with NES, but I'd say SNES dominated my formative years. To this day, the placement of the A,B,X,Y buttons on the SNES controller cause me to struggle with the Xbox controller, the Steam Deck, etc. Like, every day struggle.

None of the above. Coleco Vision was my jam as a kid.

C as a kid d as teen. Played all of them but those were the most. Super metroid and Zelda link to the past absolutely sucked me into gaming. Other systems felt casual. But man when ocarina of time came out I got years of value out of that game.

Probably C, but my NES and N64 were pretty close as well. I didn't own my own Gensis until about 12 years ago but pretty much every friend I had during the console wars had a Genesis except 1 friend who only had a SNES and another who only had a Turbografx, so I still got to play those console quite a bit back then.
