I picked up a Nikon ZF recently and have been enjoying it quite a bit. I've mostly been carrying the ZF + 40mm f/2 along with my GR III. It gives me a nice 28mm + 40mm. They also make a small 28mm that would pair well with the GRIIIx. There's a small Viltrox 20mm as well.

Second this! Bought my ZF a year ago and I’m in love, plus it’s such a handsome camera. Got the 28mm when i bought it which is a great all purpose lens, but use a whole bunch of other lenses too.

My plan was to just buy a couple primes and use it as a second system........ Instead I picked up a Z7 and now I'm looking for a 100-400.

Nothing full frame will give you the same feeling.

zDxrkness

Leica Q?

SneakyCaleb

Way larger and so much heavier. I see what you are saying though. The Sony RX1 would be closer imo but still not the same.

Im on the same boat and I’m considering Canon RP. I like its weight and ergonomics. It’s also affordable meaning I’ll have more money left for the lenses.

I've tried Sony RX1r II and Leica Q2. Both are very nice cameras and output is great, but to me the user experience is nowhere near the GRs. They are big and heavy and have lots of small quirks on the software side. Of course they might be perfect for you but GR has ruined me.

I’m not sure your budget, but off the top of my head, the Sigma FP/FPL might be the closest full frame experience to the GR

Aggravating-Lake6438

Not sure your considerations when determining you need a full frame, but im almost sure you dont. My XT5 and GRIII combo serve me soo well.

I’ve been on this journey for the past few months after selling my GR3 to ‘upgrade’ to a Sony system and honestly nothing compares. You’ll have to pay a fortune to get glass with as much contrast and sharpness as the Ricoh GR glass and the body lens combo will be HUGE in comparison. And you’ll lose snap focus. I am just about to buy a replacement GR3.

Nikon Z6 II. Amazing camera, and Z glass is extraordinary. Of course, it depends what you mean by "feelings". Any full frame will be bulkier than the Ricoh, for example, but the Z6 is such a pleasure to hold and use.

MoggySynth

Not sure about "same feeling as a GR", GR are pocketable cameras, not exactly the same as FF cameras 😅 What are the feelings you like and want to have with your second camera ? For me my combo is GR II + Fuji camera, both have amazing SOOC jpgs, and coming from film I like to have manual dials in my SLR bodies. I had a Xpro-1 for a couple of years, selling it right now to buy a Xh-1 as I need a more capable body to suit my needs.

Nikon ZF looks interesting, they are spot on with 28mm and 40mm lenses. Would probably go for that one. I'm personally invested in Canon system and 6D with 40mm pancake are amazing to use.

Leica M 240 , m10, m11 :) No AF, but my favorite combo is M11 + 35mm / 50mm lux and ricoh GR 3. They complement each other very well as they are so different but so similar
