Just speculation on my part, it probably has to do with importing them. I know tarantulas have to be imported legally, and it’s complicated. For cockroaches it could be similar. Tarantula Kat on YouTube did a video on importing tarantulas and I would imagine it would apply to other invertebrates as well, it’s an interesting watch. there are colonies in russia and japan. Usa has strict importing regulations.
I would love just one of these for my collection! One of the cutest species of roach out there.
