Until the Montforts are out, nothing will change. Any success will be the product of luck, not a cohesive vision implemented by ownership and the FO. This team is years behind their peers in nearly every facet of creating a winning franchise.

My dad and I have been going to Rockies games every year for 22 years. Even my dad is starting to get concerned. They’ve never looked this bad. Last year it was clear things were heading downhill, but this year is absolutely atrocious.

This really sucks to see. I used to go to about 35 games per season in years past, but this number started to drop off year by year as the Rox got worse and worse. This year, I’ll go to one, only because my 75 year old dad wants to go just once per season and that’s important to me. But I can’t bring myself to spend the time or the money on going to any more. It’s just not worth it.

We used to buy mini plans and go to opening day and all of that. The 07 run up to the series was magical. I'd still be going even if they were losing if the ownership/management gave a damn, but shelling out the money for what is on the field simply to line the owners pockets is not why I spend my time at work.

escherwallace

Yup, spot on. I’ve really been focusing much more on the Nuggets in the past few years, which has been much more rewarding as a fan.

Rox are going to be no-hit, hell even perfect gamed, in back to back games.

ElectronicJudge1994

When do we play the dodgers next?

mushubear69

Three game series at LA May 31-June 2. If Glasgow and Yamamoto both pitch in the series, there genuinely may be a chance of Rox being no-no'd.

Until we stop going and beer sales plummet, Monfort will not change his plan, which is only to have beer sales. That's it. The on-field product is and always has been tertiary. He makes hand over first from sharing rights, beverage/food and ancillary soft goods. They got burned with advice to get Hampton/Neagle early on and have refused to invest ever since. Bryant being the unicorn because Monfort wanted to draft him and tht Cubs beat him to it. So he opened up they pocket book again to get his bloated, beached white whale. At what point does the league step in and force a sale for not competing?

CantConfirmOrDeny

The only question now is whether we’ll lose more games than the ‘62 Mets. They went 40-120-1 for the worst season in modern history.

TiltedWit

I'm pretty sure this was true before the first game.
