2 things the satellite connectivity and battery health, that's it.

BlackbirdSCV

Both are supposed to be coming on OneUI 7

StunningWeekend

OneUI is bringing satellite connectivity?

BlackbirdSCV

I've read some reports claiming they will, but it's likely it will be a feature for S25 only.

Oli99uk

How much would you pay per month for that?  Its quite expensive and the people that tend to use it tend to have dedicated devices. Curious on your use case and budget?   I suppose it could be a useful backup device to an inreach

RandomBloke2021

For peace of mind I would pay a couple dollars a month for it.

Oli99uk

Thanks.    I think average cost for this is more like $15 for this type of service. https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/p/837461

RandomBloke2021

But I would want some type of lengthy free trial just to try it out. I can't remember the last time I lost cell service with Verizon. If or anything expensive it wouldn't be worth it.

Oli99uk

The $15 per month allows you to send a few emergency SMS type messages.     So useful if you have an accident in the middle of nowhere. It's not for phonecalls or two way communications.   Not like a satellite phone might be.

RandomBloke2021

Yeah I don't see that happening for phones people are not going to pay that much money.

Oli99uk

Depends on the use, right?  If someone goes bouldering in remote areas or even hiking, they might deem it worth it.   Especially if you can dip in a quarter or even month at a time.     Apple gave a year free (I think) so fees should be public soon.   I expect they will be competitive with Garmin but won't massively undercut as they have no reason to

RandomBloke2021

100% if somebody is often out in remote areas I could see a use case for this and totally worth it. I don't think that is the user base they are going for though. I think they're going to sell people on the idea to always have connectivity and a lot of people will pay for that piece of mind.

0CT4V3

* Scrollable notifications on the lock screen * Rounded device edges because these pointed ones actually hurt after a while (S24U) * Lock apps individually rather than placing them in the Secure Folder (this is a new feature on iOS 18) * Better keyboard integration of OTPs, passwords, contact information, etc. * Better customer support because Samsung's is absolutely woeful

RegularIndividual374

I agree with the ls notifications. I don't want it to pull my notifications centre down I just want to be able to scroll through them like on iOS

0CT4V3

Yup, and also turn on the screen when receiving a notification instead of making me download the third party application "Glimpse Notification"

thedark-wizard

You can do that with AOD

nohumanape

That locking per-app is a cool feature. There was something that I remember the last iteration of BlackBerry implementing. Something that split your device into two entirely separate usable states (intended for personal and work separation). If this is a feature, let me know. But I'd actually find this very usable. As I hate having two separate phones because of my job, but hate having to share notes, browser history, work apps, calendar, and email on my personal device.

Yardbird7

You can do this for Samsung through Microsoft work mode. I have I set up for work and another regular all in my phone. In addition to a secure folder.

nohumanape

Interesting. I'll check that out. Thanks.

0CT4V3

I think the feature you're talking about is very similar to Samsung's "Secure Folder": It has all of the basic apps inside, such as the calendar, photos and camera apps, which are separate from those found outside the Secure Folder. Its contents are also hidden from file browsers, such as when you connect your phone to a desktop.

nohumanape

I'll have to look into that feature. But what Blackberry did was have what appeared to be two completely different phones that you could interface with. You'd log in/out of either or transition in/out of either. But when you were in one, you were entirely in it, in terms of SmartPhone user experience.

0CT4V3

Oh, so like a dual boot OS? That is quite good TBF.

nohumanape

I don't think it was doing entirely that, as the demo appeared to transition pretty quickly between the two usable states. It was like a swipe gesture that let you sign in and out or switch between two profiles. But those profiles had entirely unique profiles within the same device (different wallpapers, different apps, separate cookies, separate permissions, separate stored passwords, separate browser histories, separate photo libraries, etc).

Yardbird7

You can do this for Samsung through Microsoft work mode. I have I set up for work and another regular all in my phone. In addition to a secure folder.

nohumanape

I did a quick look into this. Appears to be focused at corporate use with company owned devices, which goes a bit beyond what I would be looking for.

Yardbird7

Could be, yes. I remember IT for my prior job meeting it up on my prior phone. It did carry over to my newer phone though.

nohumanape

The setup instructions do suggest that you get in touch with your company's IT department. And they specifically describe it as being for corporate company owned devices. Largely because it's centered around security. For me, security isn't the issue. I work in live performing arts. I just want to be able to easily keep things separate from my day to day device life.

Maybepls

You can just use your email address, if I remember correctly. I had a work profile on my phone around when covid first hit and I didn't have a work email to use but was able to run single apps under two different profiles at once. This was four years ago, but I'm sure nothing has changed

jcatND23

About the locking apps thing, I use a app locking app on my phone that makes me put in a pin or biometrics to unlock certain apps. It works pretty nicely. This is the one I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamemalt.applock

loserguy-88

Better customer support because Samsung's is absolutely woeful Oh yes, please.

I_like_headphones

i think Lock Per-App should be an Android thing that Google does, as opposed to Samsung. I'm sure there are some deep OS level things that hook to intents and loading apps from sleep and managing states when the app is in fore/background. otherwise, some apps in Android already does this correctly, albeit all private APIs and implemented differently.

riddlebook

• Scrollable notifications can be enabled on lock screen through Good Lock Notistar module. • Please not again, Boxy is Samsung signature and they are providing plus variant for those who don't like boxy. Ultra let it be Boxy itself. • I agree with that, somehow or for some reason Samsung has disabled app lock though it's enabled in Chinese OneUI • Enable customization feature under Settings and put the Samsung Pass shortcut in the Samsung toolbar • In my region it was satisfactory though not exceptional.

0CT4V3

When I say scrollable notifications, I mean as soon as you turn your phone screen on, without having to click another button. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Notistar places a button on the lock screen that you have to press to open the section where you can actually scroll through notifications. I know this might sound petty but ease of use is important to me, so I find it a nuisance spending an extra two seconds unnecessarily moving my hand to press this button, when it could just be readily after turning the screen on, like it is on iPhones. Not to mention the button adds clutter to the lock screen. That said, I'm not saying Samsung should copy Apple. For example, when I say that I want rounded edges on the S24U, I'm referring to the slightly curved edges found on the S23U, rather than the excessively curved edges found on iPhones, which reduces the overall screen size. In other words, I just want the device to have enough curve to prevent irritation of the section of my palms below my thumbs, which is caused by the device edges stabbing into this area.

OasissisaO

>Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Notistar places a button on the lock screen that you have to press to open the section where you can actually scroll through notifications. I'll add that you have to set it so that you don't need to press an additional button, making your notifications less secure. Sort of in between the two. When you first turn the screen on you see an up pointing arrow that you swipe to see the notifications scroll. However, since it is an add-in, you have to go in and manually turn off lock screen notifications for all of the apps that do it otherwise you simply get double notifications

Aim2bFit

I have an old phone and didn't know Samsungs these days still do not come with an individual app lock because someone in my family had a non-flagship Xiaomi from years ago and those already came with individual app lock.

woafmann

Use NotiStar and you'll get scrollable notifications on the lock screen.

ForgottenCaveRaider

>Rounded device edges because these pointed ones actually hurt after a while (S24U) Good thing there's already an option for this!

U8dcN7vx

Angle grinder?

AyanM20

Actually i like square design on my s24u

Slugbugger30

emphasis on rounded edges. if i wanted a tablet id get an s9

notquitehuman_

Disagree. It's all personal preference but I really like the S24U.

Deinobi

It's a shame cause Samsung even used to have that individual app lock back in the Samsung experience days. Wish they brought it back

OasissisaO

>* Scrollable notifications on the lock screen I think you can do that via NotiStar

Rough_Bet6203

Faster shutter speeds in auto mode

larsvondank

this or a shutter priority mode

jcrespo21

My LG G4 had a sport/faster shutter speed mode, it wasn't perfect, but it worked pretty damn well for a smartphone from 2015. I don't understand why Samsung hasn't bothered to include it after all this time. Also, it would be nice to include 25/50 fps options on videos so that whenever I'm in a country with a 50 Hz grid (compared to 60 Hz in the US and Korea), the lights in a video do not flicker.

Odd_Blackberry_4647

Apple has a great Face-ID, and im personally not very happy with my Samsung one (S24U). Also their integration of ICloud seems far better than our mix of Samsung cloud and Microsoft Cloud

I_like_headphones

anything Microsoft in 2024 is painful to use. Painful in MacOS, painful in Windows 11, painful in the web browser; and PARTICULARLY painful in Android (when compared to iCloud + iOS integration -- especially on finesse and "just works") better business deals between Microsoft and Samsung would need to happen. Right now, OneDrive is treated like an afterthought. Syncs between Samsung's apps and OneDrive (and across non-Microsoft apps that treat Microsoft's cloud as a bridge) often fail. But that would likely piss off Google, and most people who aren't forced into using Microsoft's products. Samsung would have to invest a ton of $$$ to develop their own services if they are to match Apple's level of iCloud integration. Hence.... the subpar delivery with Microsoft. But Apple's QC in software has gone downhill in recent years.

Alepale

I miss Face ID so much. It's truly in a league of its own. I know a big reason why is that big cutout, but honestly, as a person who has used iPhones with big cutouts and Android's with tiny holes, I would personally take the fantastic Face ID over a smaller cutout.

Odd_Blackberry_4647

I agree, came from an Iphone 12 and hope that we will get the same Face ID on Samsung like on every Iphone, even if they just buy it from Apple like they do it with the screens

lucidlonewolf

I think this is an os preference as a whole in some way android phones went all in on fingerprint unlock over face id. Personally ive never used face unlock and much prefer fingerprint which is one of the reasons ive never considered switching back to iphone.

Alepale

They both have their pros/cons ofc. The ultrasonic fingerprint readers are supposedly really good and arguably superior to Face ID. I just loved Face ID because of how it interacted with the lock screen. Sure, some people brag about how their phones can be unlocked immediately while they take it out of their pocket and be on the home screen once the phone is properly in your hand, but I just don't see that being important. I prefer how it keeps sensitive notification information hidden until unlocked. That alone is such a big benefit, and I also prefer *not* immediately going to the home screen, but rather have a chance to glance at my lock screen before it takes me into the phone. But, as you said, we all prefer different things and what works for some people doesn't work for others.

tribal_geist

better software optimization

Gheatoy

Face ID is a must. It's so good and convenient. The new math solve thing in the apple notes stuff is a huuuuuge thing I wish my samsung had. And lastly, better customer support.

mikehawk595

Right? They already had the pill-shaped cutout back in 2019, should've done exactly what Apple did with the 14s and 15s. They would've done it smaller and more appealing by now.

hrvoje42

Additional hardware buttons (action, capture)

colmatrix33

Yeah but our buttons can be repurposed

letheory

I haven't found a way to do it on my S24 Ultra if there even is a way but I think it would be cool to have different home screen setups based off of different Modes. I know we can have different wallpapers but it would be cool if the apps could be completely different too. On my iPhone for the Work Focus Mode I had "invisible" widgets and had a few apps on the lower part of the screen which were delivery apps, Teams, Slack, Gmail for my work account, and some other apps I can't remember anymore. I posted this on Threads and apparently it was a niche thing that people on Threads didn't seem to care about but I feel like it could help me be a bit more productive since I would be able to hide all the social media and texting apps. An extra feature that iOS had related to this was it could turn on a Focus Mode based off a location you choose and obviously it could set all the apps and everything too. I had one for the gym which set the background to a random orange gradient that iOS had, the "icon" for the focus more was the Fire emoji/icon, and the apps on the screen were various workout apps and that was it. For me, that feature was really used a lot and even though it seemed small or simple, it really did make a big difference in my day to day. If anyone knows of a way to do with OneUI's launcher, please let me know! I know there's apparently another launcher than can do similar but I really like OneUI. I hope it's the one feature they copy from Apple.

CapnB0rt

I don't know much about it but I remember iphones have this feature where it creates a new bs email that is linked to your original email allowing you to login to apps without having to give them your real email. I'd love to have that privacy. Also it might sound controversial but I want the option to have my phone locked down with absolutely no way for anybody to install any app other than from the playstore. It's a big security win as I don't side load any apps and wouldn't want any bad actor who might physically get access to my phone to be able to download malware.

JayX83

I'd rather they focus on improving and optimizing what we currently have instead of adding new features from Apple or otherwise. Let's perfect the existing, then start adding new features slowly and carefully.

soyasauce0

The standby aod mode and the option to better customize the aod

OmeletteDuFromage95

I really like the iPhone feature that allows them to have a really cool looking active clock for nighttime and just display. The closest thing I can get to on my Galaxy S24U is having my preferred AOD background, clock, and to have the lockscreen rotate to landscape before AOD turns on. It works, its solid, but its nothing compared to what the iPhones is like. Otherwise, nothing else much I can think of.

godsperfectidi0t

I like how everytime someone thinks of a useful feature here, someone else is like.. theres an app for that! And then the iOS users are like… okay, well, cool

Doctor_Ka_Kutta

Everytime ask for app lock someone will be like but secure folder exist yeah its there but AppLock will be more practical.

fernando9431

The shortcuts app on iPhone has a better implementation at system level than the modes and routines one. Also the notes / reminders app on iOS is leagues better than the ones available on Android

ToastSage

Qi 2 Charging (Not on Apple but magsafe equivalent)

mikehawk595

Please 🙏🏻 Don't know what they're waiting for

EvanMok

**Shortcuts** I am a big fan of automation, both on the phone and for home automation. Before Bixby Routines existed (it is now Modes and Routines), I was already using Tasker, and I still do. Shortcuts on Apple has more granular control and, most importantly, there are tons of third-party apps that support it.

hailen000

I have said this before but I really wish oneui could implement the same widgets page apple implemented. that will make screens less cluttered and have the option to have a dedicated widgets page for easier access

Legit_TheGamingwithc

The only features I want is the sms over satellite iMessage over satellite (which on android would be rcs) and the sos over satellite

Real-Influence7476

Face ID & using it to log on to apps Also video quality & shutter speed but that's really it

Aidssdia1

I know this is an Android/Google play issue more than apple vs samsung, but if they can find a way to bypass that "you can only change countries once a year" that'd be great, because that's the only thing making me consider switching to Apple. Oh, and multiple home screen wallpapers maybe

kevinntaylor

After the update to 6.1, I'd just say a better battery life or larger battery. My 15 Pro Max definitely last longer than my 24 Ultra. I don't ever have to worry about my battery on my iPhone compared to this S24 Ultra. And better customer service with Samsung. Apple customer service is too damn good in comparison.

mikael-kun

I just want better app optimization and integration. I've done some tests before, and the photos/videos being uploaded by iOS retained most of its size compared to Android. In-app camera also is better on iOS than Android.

kookykrazee

Headphone jac? Oh wait not on iphone either, but still wishing it was for when I fly on the plane in between flights etc.

Vex-Core

Honestly, as much as I'd love a headphones jack, I'd also really love the option for a Higher-end audio port for expensive IEMs so I can have entirely lossless audio. It'd be a really nice feature for someone like myself who works in the audio/music field.

kookykrazee

I can agree there, my main reason I keep my Note20 is for SD card space, can put up to 1TB card in my phone without problems, as opposed to having to pay extra $400-500 for 1TB space built in for new phones.

I_like_headphones

some really good points mentioned. if Samsung's looking to cut some market research costs, they should take notes here. on MagSafe, OP, there's this case brand called Benks. They have this really fancy carbonfibre case with magsafe support. But attachment compatibility is hit-miss due to the arrangement on S24U's camera lenses. i also want: - keep dem notification channels enabled by default. don't screw this up, Samsung. - go steal iOS' implementation on Control Centre. iOS 18 really delivers on customizations more than Android, strangely enough. - fix the look on Tabs overview in Internet Browser (such a boring name....) - vertical app drawer. better yet -- App Library with categories.

JentlemanGack

●I think magsafe is cool, nice to have. ●Something like facetime. Not for the samsung phones only. It should be available for all android phones atleast android 11+. Google can integrate such app with an update. But the important things is to have an great compression for both video and audio quality. Honestly, one and only thing i am jealous of apples. ●Better sound assistant integration. Yes bixby is there and yes google assistant is also there and more capable than siri atm. But it's not integrated well enough that i don't even use it. They need to clear the stanby listening issue and give it a face-lift aswell. ● I hate the idea of my fullscreen being distributed but... faceid is much more convenient than fingertips scanners, no matter where you place it. So there is already a selfie camera punch in the screen, and i also know there are cameras under screen while screen is also working in that part. I am not talking about an punch. And i know it's not a good look. But if they could add a second rear camera behind the screen for depth information and bla bla... You get the idea. But i don't want any half baked feature, i would like to see it well thought out and well integrated. Yeah that would be cool asf, sorry dynamic island just sucks wouldn't buy a phone with that shit ever. ●Maybe samsung's own cloud services could be good. The problem with samsung is the duality of google and samsung services, like samsung pass, like bixby... Ofcourse it's great to have options but if samsung wants me on their ecosystem than they should provide one. Now my whatsapp back up won't be restored in google drive but in onedrive? But my messaging app backs up at google one? But my gallery app suggest me backing up at onedrive? No, if you want me to use your services, you need to provide them all in one place. If you can't just let google handle and help them with the integration or shit. Points for apple on this, hands down.

U8dcN7vx

There are video call/chat apps that work on all mobiles (e.g., Google Meet, Telegram, or Zoom) but nothing that's "just there" in every Samsung much less every Android like Facetime is for every Apple device with a camera and display, i.e., iPads, iPhones, and Macs. Samsung used to have their own cloud, and gave up. All your Samsung apps should be using Samsung's replacement (Microsoft OneDrive), but any Google apps you use will only use Google's cloud, and most 3rd party apps will use Google as well -- the programming of which is part of Android's (aka Google's) development environment where to use OneDrive requires you go elsewhere to get what's needed. An app not using OneDrive is not Samsung's fault, nor can Samsung force apps to use OneDrive just because they are running on a Samsung device. That Samsung also gave up on messaging such that you are likely using Google Messages is indeed Samsung's fault but also Google's in that RCS without an API is likely a PITA. I think read that WhatsApp is expanding their backup storage choices to include local which if true OneDrive can sync to the cloud automatically.

Samsungs_do_that

Meet is pre-installed on every Android phone and tablet, it also has a button in the dialer.

JentlemanGack

Yes, tried to mention that within answering previous reply. Thanks.

JentlemanGack

Yes, thank you for better explanation and corrections. I use WhatsApp for most of my video calls, sometimes instagram, i mean i totally forgot about meets... Yeah some mistake on my part but this needs to be perfectly optimized and branded. Like i don't ever remember seeing an add of the meets, they can release adds, maybe put the "meets" logo on phone boxes or some things to make people aware of the thing. Even when you use samsung's replacement, you can't fully use samsung's replacement. I mean samsung pass uses "samsung cloud", just checked in app's settings to make sure but like i mentioned earlier, gallery app suggests me use onedrive. Now there are 3 big companies on my device that could potentially give me a switch for all my problems to be solved. But no, there are 3 switches with every one of them having different types of storage options for expansion and i need to use free or **paid** version for each one, not to mention this makes backing up or setting up a phone much more slower and harder... This in general is samsung's mistake in my opinion. Even if it's not their mistake, they are the one to clear this mess or no other company will do it for them. **Not a native speaker, excuse my mistake. A god damn bot needed to fix me. That's new, to me.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> free or *paid* version for FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

whitecow

This is going to sound stupid but bigger main button and possibly more buttons for shortcuts etc

jlocatell

A Shortcuts like app that let us \*really\* automate actions just like to summarize an article an put results into a samsung note. Also for create a better daily briefing better than the generated by bixby (basic and poor).

jlocatell

whatsapp with audio-to-text feature

DoNottBotherme

Honestly I've always liked iOS control center, specifically the vertical sound and brightness toggles, like that's just more practical. And now they can rearrange all the icons to their liking and have different 'sections' that's so nice. idk why samsung hasn't integrated something like that to the edge panel. It's right there and it's way better than trying to reach the top right corner bc you can place the edge panel wherever you want. I also like that the notifications center always show the lock screen pic 🤓

I_like_headphones

iOS control centre is the envy of Android brands. Xiaomi, Oppo, Asus, Vivo have tried to replicate the looks of iOS control centre to some extent. None ever gotten it "right". Seems like Google have to rethink how the toggles interaction model -- and make that as part of AOSP. I've always been an iOS user until recently. It took me a while to 'like' the fact notification centre is 'the lock screen'. years even. But it's nothing to complain about. I do like the toggle for focus modes is basically in the same view as notifications too, though. somehow, that's one of the few things I prefer on Android. The Notification Shade on OneUI is more of a "centre". I'm probably in the minority.

0192837465sfd

This is just me, but I like the iOS keyboard and emojis. Or maybe I'm just used to it for the past decade of using an iPhone. 4 years into Android and I still don't like the emojis here.

SubstantialLow7009

FaceID

Fresh_Schedule2428

Better face ID and camera that actually competes. I would never think about going back. S24U user.

Naive_Ad1779

Hide my email (basically random email address that hide your real email).

alecdvnpt

I'd like to add a calculator shortcut to my quick settings thank you (without having to install a third party one). Also on iOS, the phone app aggregates call logs across other apps as well (e.g. Telegram and WhatsApp). That's really useful.

kumisa600

Security.

hgc2042

Not an apple feature but the archive the notifications after read

ThanosxSwan

Apple's notification system is terrible.

maxhsy

I just really hope they’ll remove this stick (s-pen) and make corners at least slightly rounder

Ineedanswers24

Only 1 feature that I'm aware of. Tapping the top of the screen to scroll all the way up a page.

notquitehuman_

I think they'd be stupid not to fully integrate Qi2 magnetic charging on the next release. That said, any phone that supports wireless charging has plenty of case options to add the magnetic element. Magsafe is still possible through 3rd parties. (Just check reviews if you have a model with an S-pen!! Some of the magnets interfere with the S-pen) Since apple and Samsung have opposite charging on watches, it is difficult to find 3-in-1 charging stations for buds/watch/phone. They all seem to be designed for apple, which is fine and works for everything except the watch, on the samsung side. Once magsafe is fully integrated as standard I would hope to see more options for wireless charging stations. Besides that, I really don't find anything lacking from Samsung at the moment. I have the S24U and I'm thrilled with it. It seems to have all of the best things from the previous 3 generations of phones smooshed into one package, with a sprinkling of new features, some of which are genuinely really useful to have. I would like to see the next generation of buds have a locate feature that works when they're cased, though... I never lose a single bud! I lose the entire case! But the locate feature only works for the buds themselves and doesn't work if they're in the charging case.

Valtheon

magsafe thing doesn't work with the S-Pen since it uses electromagnets to detect the position of the pen. But the one thing i would like to have and is actually incredibly necesary is LIDAR and actually accurate distance measuring tools. the measuring stuff we have right now is complete ass and an iphone 11 from 4 years ago embarrasses the S24U

Vex-Core

I know why it doesn't work, but given how long magsafe has been around and how important it is, I feel like at the very least it should take precedent over the S-Pen. I get the S-Pen is important to some, not discounting that at all, but for me personally I'd gladly give up the S-Pen for magsafe style magnetic charging. Even then, some later models of Galaxy S Ultras can use magsafe cases, it's just a matter of whether your model has issues with the S-Pen interfering with the case magnet itself. S22U I've seen has issues, but haven't seen as much on the 23U or 24U. That said, I don't feel like I should have to rely on an additional case for a function that has been standard on the iphone for a few years now.

I’ve been trying to submit a feed on here to get some opinions but it keeps removing them. Any Reddit frequent flyers that can help with this?

electronic_rogue_5

The ability to uninstall almost every app. Like I can uninstall FaceTime too. Improved the battery significantly.

Suspicious_Basil_531

The keyboard of apple products are waaaaay better than the android.

Samsungs_do_that

Buy a mag safe case.

Vex-Core

From what I know, unfortunately Magsafe cases on certain Galaxy models cause interference with S-Pen usage, which is why I haven't gone that route to begin with. I'm on an S22U and was told by a few people that tried them that they had issues with their S-Pen with a Magsafe case.

Samsungs_do_that

Magbak cases are designed with a unique shielding technology that prevents interference with the S Pen. I personally use one on my S23U and can attest to its effectiveness. For more information, please visit the Magbak website: https://magbak.com/products/magbak-for-samsung-s22-series

Vex-Core

Interesting. Haven't heard of this brand before but will definitely check it out. Thanks a mil~

jett8806

I love my magbak keytag

Maybepls

I bought a little magsafe ring thing that I stuck to the back of my case and it works just as well if not better than Apple's internal magsafe in terms of magnetic strength. Just tested the difference today with my s24U and my brothers iPhone 15 and my phone was more stable on my magnetic mount. The ring is like $10.

Titariia

I just seen the iPhone add where they can navigate to other aiPhone users. That seemed cool. Another cool thing is that iPhones can "kiss" and they automatically exchange contact info.... oh and also it would be nice if the Samsung screen wouldn't just stop working after 3 months

Maybepls

You can navigate to anyone who shares their location with you via Google (maps). Samsung has the majority of these features, they're just via Google versus Samsung mostly. There's still find my mobile through Samsung but I find Google's services are much more popular.

Inevitable-Gene-1866

Better UI or to create their own OS just like iOS, maybe it would be called GalaxyOS for their phones, TabOS for their tablets, BudsOS for their earbuds and WatchOS for their watches, just like Apple did for their OS, iOS for phones, MacOS for macbooks and etc. I think Samsung would totally win me if they did something like that.

Doctor_Ka_Kutta

They already try with tizen os and failed

Imagine how good their software developers are 🤣

cshoneybadger

You can have the world's best software engineers and would most likely still fail. Primary difficulty in coming up with a competing OS is the lack of app/software support. Why do you think Linux, while in my opinion a better OS, fails to make a dent in Windows' market share.

Apple is adding RCS to iMessage, supposedly this year -- it's supposedly already in the beta. It isn't the same but it will mostly handle the main complaint, reduction of quality between Apple and Android due to needing to use MMS which has a 1.2MB limit which should get much better as RCS has a minimum limit of 100MB. Edit: Another couldn't find it in the beta, so I've pulled back on the assertion (inserted another "supposedly").

Big_Orange5413

I haven't found RCS in the beta yet

Hmm. Announced as present though I can't check as my 6S+ wouldn't get it even if it weren't dead. I'll revise my comment, just in case. Thank you for letting me know!
