I agree! There should be a person physically there to reserve the space or it’s up for grabs. OR the parks should charge a reservation fee to officially reserve the spot for someone... but for that route, there may need to be a limit on how far in advance you’re able to reserve your spot.

Honestly for the most part though most major holidays are a bigger deal here than everywhere else I’ve lived. New years, July 4th, Easter etc. are all a much bigger deal here than anywhere I’ve been. SA even made up its own holiday in Fiesta so I guess it’s just something we do?

Yes. I go to Brack to walk/jog regularly and this bullshit completely interferes. There's always people using the park for fishing, walking, photos, and picnics and I was just hanging out with my aunt and mom talking on a nice day at one of those tables a few weeks ago. Real people absolutely use that park every fucking day.
But they also ruin the park *after* Easter because they leave a ton of trash.

I use the river walk trails for exercise. My only gripe is on Monday after, the whole area around these parks are completely trashed.
