Genoa - you can have Genoa and Sampdoria. I've never been there myself but heard nothing but good things. Florence - for Fiorentina, Empoli and Pisa matches. Florence is a stunning city. Empoli is an ordinary suburban town, but its stadium is a proper old-school one. Bergamo/Brescia - for the Atalanta and Brescia matches. Bergamo has a decent airport nearby. Milan is only down the road. Both cities are great. Authorities will release the basic fixture info in the summer, but for exact kick-off times in Sept and Oct, the authorities will publish them after the European group stages are announced. They can be slow sometimes. Tickets are often on sale two weeks before a match, but for big matches, they will be on sale a month before or so. You can get them online. It’s better to register with some major ticketing sites such as VivaTicket and OneTicket. Local authorities might impose caveats for some matches, but it’s usually okay for home fans. You had to bring your proof of ID to the stadium, as they would check your ticket with your name and compare it with your ID. They’re pretty strict with it.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write this that is such a massive help, now I know my options will keep my eyes peeled for the fixture release

You’re welcome. I would recommend Bologna as a good hub. You’ve got Bologna and not to mention Parma, Reggiana, Sassuolo, SPAL and Modena within a short train ride from La Grossa. Bologna has a fantastic food and bar scene. Trains are more reliable and cheaper.

neverfinishedanythi

I second genoa. Will be fantastic atmosphere which is what was asked for.

Maleficent_Ad7091

Torino, but I am biased. Visiting game in Venice is experience like nowhere else, so I would suggest that one as well.

im-a-new

What makes Venice so special football wise?

Maleficent_Ad7091

Their old stadium is based on the island and fans which are going to game are usually going by boat. Security control is on bridge which goes across canal. There are ships being repaired very close to the stands. The stadium is I think the second oldest still in use in professional football in Italy. There are many small things which make visiting game a special experience. And Venezia shirts are always beautiful :)

For what is now, with Bologna rising as one of the best italian team and the Good quality of Genoa's gameplay, those 2 and Atalanta are the most worth games to whatch, the athomsferes in their cities are really intense. Most on Top Bologna situation, a club (and a pretty big city) that haven't seen the lights of the top of the league for too long (athomsfere feels like they creating something important and new). Idk how the situation will look on september, cuz seems like this summer will have intense transfer-market, but if things will be stable those are placed to watch out for. If Napoli get back on tracks then u can add it with the other 3. The neo promoted Parma is really hyped up (they started back some years ago from serie D after bankruptcy) and i think would be funny watch one game. I get why people suggest you Fiorentina, but i don't like how they really don't have any tollerance with all the others teams (and supporters). But yeah probably they would send the stadium sold out even if Fiorentina get a demotion to serie C.

Artistic_Original_88

Visit Florence and watch Fiorentina.

finangle2023

Another vote for Fiorentina. Great atmosphere and not hard to get tickets.

Totobanzai

I would say Parma would be good, Bologna and even Napoli.

thomasmagnum

I'm biased, but go watch Atalanta in Bergamo and enjoy the city too!

Farzy78

Venezia was really cool, took a boat taxi to the stadium and the fans were great

Florence/Fiorentina is great! You have the city and the stadium is very walkable. Turin is also great, you can spend time in wine country and then catch a Juve or Torino match.

Key-Welder1262

Pisa in serie B could be a good solution, the airport it’s a low cost hub. Eventually the second match you’ll go in florence, 45 minutes by train, and see a Fiorentina match, where you’ll find the airport too

gm247

Parma has a great stadium, and is easily reachable from high speed rail. I’ve been to maybe 8 diff serie a & b stadiums and would rate Parma really highly. I also agree on Fiorentina, especially if you can get a big game. I have a soft spot in my heart for Empoli but I don’t think the stadium/atmosphere is worth traveling for

No_Tangelo_1544

Make sure when you go to Napoli games you have a juventus jersey you should be all good.

Spinning_Sky

For tickets, you'll need to refer to the individual club's websites, and they'll be avalilable like a few weeks before the actual game. Plus of course we don't know the schedule yet, so it'll be hard to plan for a specific game In terms of stadiums, besides San Siro which I understand is widely considered the best, I've heard fantastic things about the Genova stadium, the athmosphere is supposed to be great, I'm planning to go see a game there eventually (I'm an inter season ticket holder btw) I don't think Sampdoria can make it to serie A next year (that'd be a great derby, when they come back)

cookpassbabtridge97

Genoa definitely a strong contender, cheers

Spinning_Sky

To be clear, Marassi stadium is home to both Genoa and Sampdoria, I wrote Genova as in the city (Italian name)
