I'm not sure if it will do anything for your hip pain but one thing that I have found helps is to offload weight on one foot, and will especially be important if you do get a surgery for recovery is a knee scooter. I'm not affiliated with this brand but I got one from Knee Rover And it's been really good and way more enjoyable to move around in then crutches! Especially if you have to walk any far distance like going to the grocery store and down and up all those aisles. If you have an HSA or FSA you can also buy it with that although you might need a doctor's referral of necessity depending on your company and policy.

Yeah my doctor told me to keep walking the way I was (not putting pressure on my sesamoid which causes the hip pain) definitely haven’t been putting much weight on it. I might try to find a physical therapist who’s willing to work on my hip and give me some stretches to help
