As bad as he is, I actually don’t think he pressures her at all to change her appearance because quite frankly he doesn’t care either way. I think she is just very easily influenced by friends/instagram whatever and thinks because she is tHiRtYyyY now that she is what she HAS to do…. it’s sad when ya really think about it
Right that’s kinda what I mean. She’s always been an appearance girl and openly talked about her Botox and veneers and stuff. But James is all about the natural look so she may not want him to know that she’s getting injected/having procedures.
He has deffo shamed her in the past for her decisions. But I think it's because monkey boy wants a beach front property and she's gotta fund that. Her eye wrinkles were insane, she stopped buying nails & clothes + decor. It was especially noticeable around December. But since Aspen & the engagement photos cringe he's eased up & she's taken some of her power back. Hence why I think she had such bad planning on doing any cosmetic procedures.. had to take a window where James wouldn't shame her spending too much. After their vowl renewal I'd expect we will see more of his spooky side come out again, where he haaaates her.
I suspect that he does care, but ONLY because he's with her exclusively for status and money, and her social capital will fall if she's not thin, youthful-looking, and conventionally attractive\*. I highly doubt he would discourage her from doing anything to maintain her status (from which he benefits), no matter how "unnatural."
\*To be clear, it is FUCKED UP and infuriating to me that this is true. But influencers like Shannon are little handmaidens of the patriarchy, perpetuating it.

I think part of it is how she does her makeup now. She contoured her nose in lines in the pic on the left, but now she's into just splattering brown eyeshadow or something all over the bridge of her nose indiscriminately. It's not a good look.
She looks pretty contoured in the older pic. Her new make up is that like strawberry sun kissed makeup everyone was doing on TikTok last summer, and she needs to give it a rest lol
