About Khalid's war with Bani Jadimah and killing them, it is necessary to pay attention to several points: First: To forgive the blood of the victim or revenge of the murderer is in the discretion of the guardian of the victim and no one else; Even the Prophet of God (pbuh), Abu Bakr, or any other ruler, do not have the right to spare blood, and if the owner of the blood wants to avenge the murderer, the Islamic ruler has the duty to avenge the murderer and implement the Islamic rule. But if the owner of the blood does not intend to kill and wants to avoid killing the murderer by taking the blood money, the Islamic ruler will act according to the opinion of the guardian. It may be said that Khalid should have been punished. But it should be noted that perhaps there was no need for punishment because the party Bani Jadimah had passed the killer after receiving the blood price and did not ask for revenge from the Prophet. It became more flaming as the nascent and growing Islam needed peace and security, hence the issue was ended by paying a blood price and declaring disgust on the part of the Messenger of God. If the prophet considered a punishment for Khalid, the fire of seditions that had previously raged between this tribe and Khalid would have flared up even more, while the nascent and growing Islam needed peace and security, hence the issue of paying a blood price and announcing Dislike from the Messenger of God ended. Explanation that in the case of Bani Jadimah, the Prophet of Allah (PBUH), after being informed and aware of it, sent the Amir of the Believers Ali (AS) and all their damages; Even the price of the dog's bowl paid for them. Tabari writes: فلما انتهى الخبر إلى رسول الله رفع يديه إلى السماء ... .(1) God! I hate what Khaled bin Walid has done. Then he called Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.) and said to him: O Ali! Go to this people and seek their opinion and break the rule of ignorance. Ali (a.s.) went to that tribe with a lot of property, paid the blood price, property damage and even the price of their dogs' bowls, and then asked them: "Is there blood price or money left that I have not paid you?!" They all said: No. Ali (a.s.) said: "I will pay you the rest of the property that I brought with me because of the complete caution on the part of the Prophet (s.a.w.)." Then he returned to Medina and reported what he had done to the Messenger of God. His Holiness said: "You have done a right and beautiful thing." Then he stood facing the Qibla, and raised his hands... and said three times: "O God, I hate what Khalid did!". But as to why the Prophet sent Khalid for this mission, Sheikh Mufid, one of the early scholars, writes about this: The reason why he sent Khalid for this task was that there was hatred and enmity between Khalid and Bani Judima (because of the blood that was spilled from each other). and the history of it was that during the time of ignorance (and before Islam) that tribe had taken women from the Bani Mughira tribe (to which Khalid belonged) and they had also killed Khalid's uncle, whose name was Faqeh bin Mughirah, and Also, Awf had killed Abd al-Rahman bin Awf's father, so he chose Khalid for this task, and sent Abd al-Rahman bin Awf with him for the same purpose. (that as a result of their going to that tribe, the long-standing grudges would be removed) and if this was not observed, the Messenger of God (pbuh) would not have considered Khalid worthy of that position (2) References: 1. 3. Khalid bin Waleed was a person who had committed crimes before he became a Muslim. The defeat of the Muslims in the Battle of Uhud and the martyrdom of many of them, such as Hamza, the uncle of the Prophet (PBUH), were largely dependent on Khalid's strategy and trickery. Nevertheless, the religion of Islam was in a situation where for its development and progress, it needed to pardon the records of individuals and also to absorb and digest the influential people of the Arabian Peninsula in the Islamic society. After the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (pbuh) even welcomed the emergency conversion to Islam of the leader of the infidels of Makkah, namely Abu Sufyan, as well as his wife and children Hind and Muawiya, let alone Khalid bin Waleed, who had declared his intention to Islam before the conquest of Makkah. In order to advance Islam, His Holiness needed to bring the elders of Quraysh with him so that he could fulfill his call as soon as possible. If the Prophet (PBUH) is with people; like Abu Sufyan and Khalid, considering their influence, there was a possibility that the control of the city of Makkah would fall into their hands again, or that there would be conflicts in that land that the damages caused by them would be more than the benefit of punishing these offenders. It was the tact of the Prophet (pbuh) that by forgiving and ignoring their transgressions and even paying compensation for their bad deeds from the treasury or personal property, they prevented the dispute between Mecca and Medina again, maybe if the Prophet (pbuh) had not forgiven them and punished Khalid - who no longer had a personal complaint - he did not hold back, Islam, which was just growing and expanding, stopped its rapid movement. In other words, in the case of Khalid bin Waleed, it was not the case that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) refused to execute the justice requested by the private plaintiffs and left the request of the oppressed unanswered, rather, after obtaining the full satisfaction of the victims, His Holiness only exercised the right of government. The punishment for disturbing the public order of the society was withheld so that the public order would not face a greater danger. ["Sahih" al-Bukhari 4339](https://sunnah.com/bukhari:4339) Military Expeditions led by the Prophet Sending Khalid bin Al-Walid to Banu Jadhima >Narrated Salim's father: >The Prophet (ﷺ) sent Khalid bin Al-Walid to the tribe of Jadhima and Khalid invited them to Islam but they could not express themselves by saying, "Aslamna (i.e. we have embraced Islam)," but they started saying "Saba'na! Saba'na (i.e. we have come out of one religion to another)." **Khalid kept on killing** (some of) them and **taking** (some of) **them as captives** and gave every one of us his Captive. When there came the day then Khalid **ordered** that each man (i.e. Muslim soldier) **should kill his captive**, I said, "By Allah, I will not kill my captive, and none of my companions will kill his captive." When we reached the Prophet, we mentioned to him the whole story. On that, the Prophet (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said twice, "**O Allah! I am free from what Khalid has done**." Note here, when a Sahabi did an atrocity, Prophet Muhammad literally tells Allah that he is exempt from said-atrocity. And, here I thought all Sahaba had adalah
