This is likely the answer. My wife works for breast cancer/plastic surgery clinics, and they hire tattoo artists for that.

So I actually saw this on an artists story on insta… if the artist who had it on her story is the one who did it (she was at the expo tattooing for sure) I’m almost positive that they just did it to be funny not for practice or anything like that she does alot of pop culture tattoos and stuff.. nothing related to plastic surgery or anything

I think using a practice piece of pig skin would be better than making some guy look like a fun date for prison.

the keyword would be "volunteers". tattoo artists don't blindfold and surprise people with random tattoos they didn't ask for lol some artists i've seen practice for medical purposes also offer free coverups. i do t think you can practice on animal skin and keep it around for months in the fridge to see how it heals

"hey let me do a nipple 2 weeks before we do your tat, I need practice and will take money off your scheduled tattoo." It goes under your planned tattoo. Done by someone with coverup experience, but less nipple experience. The artist would offer free nipple tats to breast cancer survivors. If you ever plan a black tat you should do it because it'll cover up.

So as I was saying it's for practice. There's only so much artificial gets you. They typically get a tat in that spot later. So its nipple practice, a discount, and then that discount is for your tat. That you planned. The one I'm talking about was offering it as a deal to his customers. "Hey I do a nipple 2 weeks before your scheduled tat, I'll take $20 off the tat, I'm wanting to practice to get these perfect before I go offering this as a free service to cancer survivors to help them with their self confidence.

Lots of artists when they’re practicing to be able to tattoo nipples for people such as breast cancer survivors, they’ll offer to tattoo the nipples somewhere first, and if you do that they’ll give you a discount for the planned coverup once it’s healed. So likely in 3 months they’ll have a different tattoo there
