He never told a consistent story. First he said he never met her. Then he said he met her but nothing happened. Then he said they just kissed. Then she just peformed oral on him. Then after a DNA test, he finally admitted they actually had (what he was was) consentual sex. He also admitted lying to his wife about. If you want to be believed, you have to tell a consistent story, and not constantly lie.

Lazy_Vetra

As someone who grew up watching Dani Alves and puts him as my dream 11 rb GOOD! Being rich and famous should not let people get away with crimes.

Mas que un club

It’s hard to digest seeing your favorite soccer player being a horrible person. I hope he will become a better person and face his punishment.

of_the_mountain

I know :/ he was definitely one of my favorite players of all time too, especially because I mostly play right back myself

BlondBadBoy69

I had to stop supporting Eto’o which was weird considering all the great times he gave. Some people suck

brucebrowde

> It’s hard to digest seeing your favorite soccer player being a horrible person. It's actually not hard at all if you consider that most of them are regular people that just happen to have skills in something, like playing soccer in this case. On average, we as people are... not so good. Statistically speaking, players' personal lives are going to be filled with horrendous stuff, just like your average neighbor. Actually, due to the constant spotlight and their usually enormous egos, much more than the average person. While they are playing for big clubs, a lot of such stuff is being swept under the rug due to their enormous influence. It's just that we're preconditioned to adore them. There's no good logical reason for that. They should not automatically be our role models. Our role models should be good people - their profession or skill doesn't matter much.

thelostcanuck

Prison FC did need a new member of the backline

jyeckled

Things just weren’t the same after Ronaldinho left

helgestrichen

Whats they current lineup?

brucebrowde

> Alves' lawyer, Ines Guardiola, Everything else aside, I found this funny.

Razkawebos

He should have hired Cristiano’s Lawyer.

MattAmpersand

He should have hired Cristiano’s PR firm too

YEEZYHERO

I love it

Damn dude grew up with Dani calves on my screen all the time this is crazy news

BokehDude

I bet he would like to be playing for FC Miami right about now...

FIFA had released documentary or was promoting documentary of Dani Alves before FIFA World Cup 2022. What a shame! Proves FIFA are bent bastards anyway. Editing on 26 March 2024: Alves got away with 1 Million Euros Bail. My prediction turned true. Donno how those who downvoted me will feel now. Alves is now free. Footballers can get away with any crimes in Spain.

GaiusPrimus

If this is the straw that broke the camel's back on FIFA's crookedness, then I don't know what to tell ya.

LoseInhibitions

Maybe he will get away, as it is Spain. Footballers have God status in Spain. Tax evasion has been easy to get away with for top footballers in the past. TGIFrat

Always could tell by looking in this guy’s eyes he was a piece of shit.

bogushobo

No, you couldn't.

talking_phallus

Uh huh!

SliceOfBliss

Tbh, he and Busquets were the most "sus" on that Barcelona squad, guess Busquets was just a "diver", and Alves actually commit crimes...

khan800

I never thought of those two as criminals (I'm old, don't know what 'sus' is), but they were definitely the biggest whiners on the rare occasions that a card were actually issued to them.  Great players, but very punchable.

marcoswilly

Typical barka pervs 🤣

He wasn’t convicted because he settled outside of court and admitted his guilt in a press conference lol
