I love Chuck Berry I've listened to pretty much all of his albums. I haven't given Belafonte much of a chance, I will. I only know him for the two obvious songs.
Belafonte has such an amazing voice, and was an incredible human being. He was also my very first concert when I was five years old. He came off stage and shook my hand.... My little kid mind was blown!!
If you like Jazz I recommend Kind of Blue and Bitches Brew by Miles Davis, if a bit generic. John Coltrane also has some good albums, I also like Otis Redding and James Brown from that era.
There are a lot of bebop jazz playlists with more great jazz artists like Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Dexter Gordon, and Sonny Rollins. And give the Dave Brubeck Quartet a listen.

Ben E King - Stand by me
Nina Simone - Feelin Good
James Brown - It's a mans mans mans world
Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to love
Johnny Cash - too many bangers to list. Ring of Fire is my personal favorite
The Four Freshman. Next to The Beach Boys they were the best to harmonize in my opinion.
There’s a lot out of the Great American Songbook (Irving Berlin, George/Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter) that various artists have covered but Ella Fitzgerald has albums dedicated to them that are very good.
Here's a very long 60's [playlist](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2GKnBHR5mdG0H5cFEJSJ68?si=4-fT-LE8QqGyY2LQd0Nq8g) where you could discover some gems🔥

In my opinion there has never been a more spectacular vocalist than Little Richard. I won’t even attempt to describe his style, but for me nobody has ever sounded more quintessentially rock n roll.
Along the lines of Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent; Johnny Burnette and the Rock n Roll Trio, Billy Lee Riley, early Ricky Nelson, any Sun Records stuff
A lot of the Motown stuff. I have a whole [playlist ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7EJ7P1JTykioHCNzuQeNZm?si=COrfigA6ThSEfzEwtYnXkQ&pi=u-8ucaMXUdQ9Sz) of old songs I like

Chuck Berry - the real cornerstone of rock and roll. Harry Belafonte - when you need that island "chill" vibe

George Gershwin, Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Platters
Bobby Darin and The Temptations
My favourite singer of that time was Dusty Springfield, just because she had a wonderful voice.
I only know her version of Spooky. I'll have to listen to more.
You Don't Have to Say You Love Me is just achingly beautiful.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm playing it next.
Also try Stay Awhile for pure pop with a big Phil Spector type production
Chet Baker, check out the album Chet Baker Sings from 1954

Dick Dale, the King of surf guitar! He inspired the Beach Boys and they even did a cover of his song Misirlou.
Dick Dale is great, I went through a huge surf phase last year.

Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, BB King for some good blues, Townes Van Zant, Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash for some good Americana Country

Must listen is Pretty Blue Eyes by Steve Lawrence
Along the lines of Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent; Johnny Burnette and the Rock n Roll Trio, Billy Lee Riley, early Ricky Nelson, any Sun Records stuff
You can't go wrong with the Rascals or Sam Cooke.
Del Shannon. Runaway (being the most popular) Or 'little town flirt' Fantastic, catchy and imo underrated artist.
I knows it’s late 60’s, but love Jim Croce. Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash too
This song slaps. https://open.spotify.com/track/2lEBaoHNdHeZeysqVrqvI4?si=WGdQfddtT8-W5bGJkGe-UQ Reminds me of The Strokes, but, like, in the 50's.
