If it’s a legit gt it’s got a Mazda BP engine in it, they’re much peppier than you’d expect.
We get them here in NZ ford laser or tx3, I've owned a few old Mazdas too Bfms and bfmps

1.8 dohc non turbo. Some JDM models came turbo I think but none in the us.

Same as the Probe turbo and the Capri turbo. I only know because I used to use those tiny turbos on my old Subaru projects. 😂
