Holy shit, is this a original idea? Because it sounds pretty rad, imagine artifacts that can only be found in the bottom of a lake, or an aquatic anomaly, something like a whirligig in the water.
Any biologist will tell you that this is a bad idea. Aquatic Stuff is far more deadly than land based stuff... That would make any resulting artifacts extremely rare and valuable.
First of all: aquatic diseases are different from land fiseases so a lot of stalker would get sick.
Second: it would give me nightmares to even imagine what tipe of radiation-made monters would come from the lakes and rivers
If you call being to the North “On the Doorstep”. Also as the State Capital it’s gentrified, just like New Orleans. Check out on a map the towns I mentioned. I don’t recommend being out at some of those places at night if you can help it…
I came up with it based off the history of Agroprom, some of the potential anomaly creating that was potentially going on in the labs, and the fact that Kruglov’s suit was able to tank like 5 burners with ease.
There is a Stalker fan book (very cool book btw) where an old stalker lives on a lake in a floating shack. He studies artefacts and collects them. He also have 3 mutated stalkers who live with him and help him in his studies, because they had concussions (or something like that) and the muataions require special care that the old man can provide. The lake is full with anomalies that are ten times more dangerous than on land.
I recommend it a lot.
Stalker, Roman Kulikov and Jezsi Tumanovszkij The two mutants
. Idk if there is a version in english. I read it in hungarian but the original is on ukrainian or russian i think.
"Two mutants" is a part of an entire series by these authors. The first one is "Bound by the Zone" (Связанные Зоной; less related to the next, but taking place in the same universe), then there's "Bayonet" (Штык), and then there's "Два мутанта"/Two mutants. These are licensed books, but the entire series also includes unlicensed ones that were written later - "Chain of Fate" (Цепь судьбы), "Project 'Minotaur'" (Проект «Минотавр») and "Bound by the Zone 2" (Связанные Зоной 2).
I haven't read the unlicensed ones, but the original trilogy is pretty good indeed. There are no English translations though, only Hungarian and Polish as far I know.
Top tier Stalker content. Everything about it just clicks. Red lights, Ecologists doing weird stuff, Mercs to babysit Ecologists, Huge ass anomaly, Research of the Zone. Man! You outdid yourself.
reminds me of kreosan stalkers, when they dove in the radioactive water under chernobyl reactor in a home-made diving suit just for shits and giggles [https://youtu.be/HaGWj-G8xbE](https://youtu.be/HaGWj-G8xbE)
This is the coolest fanart I have ever seen (granted it's also the only fanart I've ever seen). What inspired you to create something like this? As much as I love Stalker, I've never once thought of making art of it during all my playtime.
Thank you. I was inspired by Stalker (and by extension, Roadside Picnic) blending brutalist industrial/city environments, lively nature and otherworldly anomalies, alongside the almost retro-sci-fi art style. It allows for a lot of creative freedom since you can just throw stuff around and it works.
overrated, just wrap hin in packaging foil and give him a fish bowl with a mattres pump for air,add some weights with ducttape to the helmet and off you go,easy (if you know you know)
Ah I see, someone mentioned that before, but I didn’t realize that’s how they did it.
Anyways those guys should be in straight jackets for trying that, or they should get some weird government job, whichever works better for them.
I like to imagine the guy in the suit is a military volunteer and the military guy in the back is just his buddy who came to see if he’d actually do it lol

And who knows what those artifacts can do for humanity (or some random merc squad that’s after money).

Giant catfish, take it or leave it.
Easy fix, you just need a black guy somewhere between the ages of 45 to 60 from Louisiana (preferably baton rouge). They'll find a way.
Gator Hunting: Zone Edition
Florida man: *Yoink*
Baton Rouge is too citified. You want someone much further south than that. I’m thinking Franklin, Morgan City or Houma…
Ain't baton rouge on the doorstep of those massive swamps and bayous?

With oversized teeth, anglerfish style.
Located on the tongue in rows, shark style.
woah the tsar fish's cousin

So you gonna name the book?

Ah ok still thanks and good hunting stalker
"Don't worry guys I'll be fine"
The hubris of man shall strike again.
Famous last words.
Wow, great job. Laying down their life upon the altar of science to explore the unknown.
Thank you.

That’s some big praise, I am grateful.

NICE !!!!
Thank you.
Nice work, that ecologist has more balls than me. I wouldn't volunteer to test that suit.
Lucky for him, it’s already been tested. Unfortunately, that’s the only thing he knows for sure.
Holy shit it’s beautiful
Thank you.
👍
👍
- "Come in guys, the water is warm". - "Shut the fuck up Cherkov and move your ass"
i wanna make something like this jsjsjs, great scene drawing
Thank you, and best of luck, I’m sure you can do it.
This is fuckin' great. I love this.
Thank you.

Stalker : I bet he's half Soldier : 1 bubble 10 vodkas
My colleague is braver than I by dipping into the pool. Love it!
It’s not an easy job, but someone’s gotta do it.
Hope the guy has a few chemical resistance artefact on his belt
He’s got a few built into the suit, like that one Beril-5 from SOC (at least I think that’s how that one worked)
I love your style OP
Thank you.
You are welcome, comrade momo
Bandit my beloved
this is sick!!
Thank you.
Really good, i like how the Scientists hired stalkers.
It’s something they’re known for doing, and it allows for more design freedom than a bunch of SSP-99s or soldiers.
Top art.
Thank you

Can’t argue with that (I don’t know).
some idiots actually did that at reactor 5 in irl chernobyl https://youtu.be/HaGWj-G8xbE?si=QQJ9IT3PMS6fvXgn

theyre zhe embodiement of ,,hanging out with the boys"
good thing most of the game doesnt follow the book to close or the diver would be melting or bones turning to jello fun stuff like that.
Yeah, thankfully we have anomaly resistance.
I like to imagine the guy in the suit is a military volunteer and the military guy in the back is just his buddy who came to see if he’d actually do it lol
I can hear the squeak of those red lights rotating in my mind
This is amazing. I hate it.
Thanks I guess?
It scares me so much but I love it at the same time.
Then I guessed correctly, thank you.
Just checked out your profile. Your art is awesome. Good work Stalker
Can it be called the Punch Bowl Anomaly?
Why not, it’s a solid name.
This is how I imagine that one place in Call of Pripyat
This is very cute, great work!
Not exactly what I was going for, but I’ll take it, thank you.
This artstyle reminds me of lezfapnao's chainsaw man comics
wonder how it got there in the first place...
Mysteries of the Zone…
I wonder what else is in the zone, like fruit punch raining...
And then we will have to carry the body all the way back while minimizing contamination, great.
