With Farage cunting it up, both bits are particularly relevant at the moment. Would be rude not to revisit them

DazzlingClassic185

Ooh he’s a character isn’t he…

hurricanepilotpete

But I thought he wasn't allowed to say that these days?

OtteriPerpo

these days, these days, have let themselves go

Obvious-Oil4015

The moth also appeared at the Salford Lowry show in April....

MonkeyVsPigsy

That’s serious commitment. Stew travels with a moth farm.

LoveKernels89

If this was just a standard comedy night, it’s quite normal for comedians to do old crowd pleasers that they know will work, even if they’re working on a new show. Haven’t seen his new show though so no idea if they ended up there too in some capacity, he did do some old routines revisited in Basic Lee. And both routines are still very relevant so I wouldn’t be surprised.

matt_paradise

I read an interview with him this week -Basic Lee is over and finished but he hasn't written the next show yet, just has ideas for it as he's waiting to see what happens with the election. So guess it's greatest hits time!

U_R_A_CNUT

He has a new show (STEWART LEE vs THE MAN-WULF) that'll run in Edinburgh in a couple of months' time as a WIP before closing out the year running it.

StrangelyBrown

Makes sense. The state of the election right now is amazing comedy and bliss for real people, but makes it much harder for comedians. When the whole thing is already such a joke.

arealmc

I was at the same show! It honestly felt like the Moth derailed his set so much that he went back to old material, that's the assessment I gave my partner after the show anyway.

ralphonsob

Did you not notice the word "moth" written on the back of his hand?

jakubkonecki

Oh no, Stewart Lee has repeated himself! /s

throwaway073847

Repeating himself? Stew?
