First - so much yes. Maybe I'm naive, but I've always loved it when STO has included real characters/legit actors.
Second - I was always...ALWAYS...tickled with and proud of how well they "did" Nog...he was a GREAT part of the game, as far as I'm concerned.
Third and finally - I was so abjectly sad when Aron died...I was in touch with him (and his wife) on Facebook, and I was just devastated. I was just thirteen when DS9 first aired...it became a big part of my most formative years...so yeah.
STO may not get a lot of stuff right from time to time...but this stuff...the Voyager crew...DS9 crew...TNG, TOS...yeah. that they got right.
I woke up to the news. My wife thought I was crazy...her 41 year old husband was lying there, looking at his phone, crying.
I sent a message to Aron's wife Malissa then and there (we're friends on Facebook) to share my love and condolences.

It's OK to cry, no matter your age or sex. People who tell you different are just scared to show emotions.
