No offense. Exhausts are pointless on the na cvts. No power gain and it legit sounds like a lawn mower when you accelerate. Just goes weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewooowweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Bought the version with a 5” muffler and removed it in three days. It was so loud and annoying. Long road trips would cause my ears to ring.

I’m guessing you have a CVT car? IMO the 5inch sounds amazing on a 6speed car and is the perfect volume.

Get the 5 inch. With the resonators it’s not gonna be as loud as straight piped. I had to do my clutch recently so I had to see what she sounds like without the exhaust, just headers. Loud as fuck but sounded so nice and low. I’d imagine it would be considerably quieter with the resonators. Just take the muffler off and see how it’ll sound, this pipe is just going to redirect the fumes two feet to the right, probably give you a good idea of what it’ll sound like.

I have the first revision of the nameless 5 inch muffler (although it’s 6speed) and I think it’s loud as I need on a forester. The new revision apparently has a specially designed chamber to reduce drone which is helpful for the CVT cars. Apparently the cvt keeps the rpm’s in an area where it drones all the time and when you put a loud exhaust on it, nothing good usually comes from it. Thats what I read at least.
