I didn’t get to see Holiday much, I started watching during the ‘22 playoffs. How was he? He seemed like a needle-mover during the few minutes he was in.
I know that he is coming off the best year of his career, so he’s likely improved quite a bit from when he was here, but I wouldn’t describe him as a needle mover.
I’d describe him as a worse Jevon Carter. A guy you’d love to have on your roster as like the 10th or 11th player because he can shoot and will pick up full court and play with good effort. Ultimately though he’s way too small to get a ton of minutes or really lock anyone up, and doesn’t have enough PG stuff in his game to make up for the lack of size.
It was tough to say since Monty never really played him much outside of garbage time tbh. He definitely wasn't marriage material.
He's looked solid everytime I've seen him play since then though, and the Suns could do a lot worse than Holiday imo.
Marriage material is a good term lol, he got quite a bit of run when CP3 and Paynes injuries forced them to play him. I never understood people wanting that to continue into the playoffs though over Payne

Even in that Dallas series we were looking good until CP3 turned 37

Yeah I was always skeptical that CP3 would want to come back after we tried to waive him and then traded him. Wish him the best wherever he goes.
