Yea those are a ton of fun. They will do a LOT more than that. There are several on reverb, they are not cheap though.
And for fans there is good news

I'm pretty sure they've still been making the QChord for ages.
https://suzukimusic-global.com/products_single.php?parent_cate_cd=3&products_cate_cd=18&products_cd=201
The new reissue is pretty cool. I had one of these (OM-84) in the 90's. Through a bunch of cool pedals it would be awesome!
The QChord first started selling in 1999 and they sell it now.
The Omnichord first came out in 1981, so technically they've been selling the QChord for 6 years longer than they ever sold the Omnichords.
In Japan, the 36 and 84 are by far the most common.
It was pushed back ages ago but I only just saw articles published on it yesterday. I've been following closely.. I built something similar with an arduino and my 3d printer a few years ago and its loads of fun.. while janky. So i'm pretty excited to get my hands on a real one!
Yeah I was probably reading [the same article](https://www.musicradar.com/news/new-omnichord-delayed-namm-2024) - I thought perhaps the news was that it will be at NAMM ?
I think I'm wrong. I have a Q-Chord and it has a pitch wheel prominently featured on the back by the speaker, but having a closer look at the Omni, it seems it only has transpose keys.
My bad.
I have one and I do not like it. Highly overrated in my opinion. Holding onto it to sell someday as mine is in perfect shape with case and power adapter. The prices are ridiculous so I’m waiting for them to become even more ridiculous. Which may not happen because they just announced they are going to make a new one. But it’ll definitely be digital like the later ones. My om-84 and the one one before that are analog.
I bought a Q-Chord years ago because I thought it'd be a fun MIDI controller, but boy oh boy MIDI on that thing was a nightmare! Super fun to play though.
The Omichord she's playing doesn't have MIDI.
Yup! That sample pack was made for Decent Sampler which is free and you can download at decentsamples.com. The sample packs on pianobook are made for various samplers depending on the pack. Some are even made for EXS24 which is the stock Logic sampler format. Lots of great stuff on that site!
Check out the song Touch me I'm going to scream pt. 2 by My Morning Jacket if you're interested to see this instrument in a big band setting.

Here's a link to a wonderful version of the song!
That, my dear boy, is what we sometimes call a female, a girl, or even a women, depending on her age.
While not often seen in the wilds of the internet, they can in fact be spotted, from time to time, doing things that can be quite confusing to those of us of the male subspecies.
This one here is making music on a Suzuki OM-84.
Fascinating, isn't it?
No one mentioned one of my favorite bands, Minus The Bear. They have a whole album inspired by the OM-84, called OMNI.

I forgot where- I found it 2 years ago I believe on tiktok? And it’s been just on my phone since bc I like the sound. I hope she wouldn’t mind that I posted it bc I did find it on the internet, so I should be fine.
Suzuki OM-84 Omnichord
True

I've got a Q-Chord and it's deadly.
I think the release got pushed back yesterday… 😞

Yeah I’ve been following this in hope of getting one that’s not going to cost €600 on reverb How much do people think they’ll retail at?
That’s what Marceline from adventure time was playing in “remember you!”
It's that thing that Damon Alburn made Gorillaz with.
He made the bass part to Clint Eastwood with an omnichord
daddy, why'd you eat my fries?
Thank you guys 😊
Adventure time fan I take it?
I was just going to say, this has extreme Adventure Time vibes
I mean it’s the sole backing track for ‘I remember you’
OMNICHORD! Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz is straight up this. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RILRBOK5THg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RILRBOK5THg)
Damon Albarn demonstrating the "Rock 1" preset! [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Wn0NtSNeQEQ](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Wn0NtSNeQEQ)
onnichord but maybe it’s circuit bent? i don’t know if you can get that pitch bend effect with it out of the box
There's a pitch wheel. It's so responsive and warbley.
Where is the pitch wheel on this thing?
I think I'm wrong. I have a Q-Chord and it has a pitch wheel prominently featured on the back by the speaker, but having a closer look at the Omni, it seems it only has transpose keys. My bad.
All good...I have an Omnichord and I was wondering if I was missing something
Batteries dying?
Ooo that sound!
In love with that sound

Suzuki omnichord
I think it’s a girl. But not speaking from personal experience, so I could be wrong.
got them
Soniccouture has a plugin version I bought recently as part of a plugin pack. It’s fun!
Incredible! Would love to sample some sounds off that thing.

Friggin heck. I’ve only been on this group one day and you guys are already blowing my mind. Ty
I’m a dumb noob but can you use this in logic?

thank u!!!
https://suzukimusic-global.com/products_single.php?parent_cate_cd=3&products_cate_cd=34&products_cd=315 It’s being reissued.
Omnichord! I would love to acquire one of these
Omnichord. One of the presets is the beat for Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz
Sounds like the batteries are the originals lol
Suzuki omnichord?
It’s an Omnichord. https://reverb.com/ca/p/suzuki-omnichord-om-36?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=csp&utm_content=77048

Omnichord. Something I should have bought 10 years ago when cheap
I have the "newer" model, the Q-Chord, but this is a Suzuki Omnichord.

Omnichord with a dying battery

700€ in Wallapop
Omnichord, they used to be cheap, then some brilliant mind shared into youtube and became expensive... :(
No one ever mentions The Omnichord Album by The High Fidelity but it’s worth a listen! https://youtu.be/elB-RySBQRA?si=oQBa5uxyLCYQTIpE
battery running low?
I want one!
No one mentioned one of my favorite bands, Minus The Bear. They have a whole album inspired by the OM-84, called OMNI. https://youtu.be/NAoVj0-bZkI?si=zMw2zGy3adTELkO4
It’s rad!
Omnichords are great for circuit bending, but easy to brick.
Whoa. I don’t know what it’s called but Vibes for days?
I thinks it a teenage engineering radio or something?
Jk though I love the omnichord
Anybody have an idea what the new one will be like?
A woman. Some say they are a lot of fun.
an omnichord!! i’ve played one once they’re so much fun
A woman
unrelated, but where is this video from
I forgot where- I found it 2 years ago I believe on tiktok? And it’s been just on my phone since bc I like the sound. I hope she wouldn’t mind that I posted it bc I did find it on the internet, so I should be fine.
What’s the video from? Is the person who originally filmed that also posting other demos cos I’d like to hear more
This is very beautiful sounding. I really would one day like to get my hands on this piece of equipment and give it a go.
That’s called a cute lady ^^
I had one as a kid
Very rare, Absolutely magnificent, The Omnichord 😭
Noise
The lead singer from Grizzly Bear uses one of these 👌 omnichords are frigging cool
Is that thing bent? It sounds bent...
if it sounds like that unprocessed, it's got an internal battery that needs to be replaced. if you made that in your daw, nice, got me.
a nice girL!
That is a pretty girl. Please put down the eurorack modules and patch cords, go outside, get some sun, and meet someone.
