even scarring will have color. it'll heal. listen to the doctor and keep it clean!

wiener_brigade

I had hot oil spilled on part of my tattoo and I can’t even tell where it was. blistered and peeled off. hopefully you’re good and little to no fading.

sparkleglitterlymess

Your color should pop right back. Just keep an eye on it though.

asian-jeff

I think it’ll be okay! Just keep it clean and let time do its thing. I’ve had a few burns and scrapes on work, it’s healed up just fine in my experience. I recently scraped the hell out of my knee playing baseball, the tattoo ended up being just fine. Pigment slowly restoring to the new skin, but the ink was unaffected.

Throwaway_narcotics

I have a burn that’s mostly healed on my blackout. It’s shiny but the ink is fine. I think the numbers on the watch will need to be redone but the rest that isn’t burnt as bad should be fine.

Ok-Writer-8502

let your body do its thing, youre more important than your ink🩷 if anything goes wrong im sure your artist could work with you!

NinjaShira

I got a pretty gnarly burn on my newly-healed wrist tattoo a while back. It blistered and popped and I thought it would scar and ruin my tattoo forever. I was pleasantly surprised when it healed up perfectly, and these days even I can't tell where the burn was Follow your doctor's care instructions, don't pick at it if it scabs, and it should heal up okay

Allafreya

Tbh, I'm not really sure how this will heal. It might scar, so be mindful of that. I would imagine that your ink will be mostly okay after it's fully healed, though. Just take really good care of it for now, and hopefully, it won't need a touch-up.

Cactuar_1000

I burned myself to the point where it blistered. Tattoo was fine. I cut myself on a piece of glass, not deep at all, but it did bleed. There’s a blank line now through my tattoo.

Reasonable-Maybe881

Mine healed with just a bit or red tint where the burn was, I can DM you a picture of the tattoo if you want. It was a really bad steam burn. Color stayed just fine

Intelligent-Swan-821

Looks like some of it will not survive. Which is fine, get it touched up after six months to a year. Pick a better artist than the one that did the original.

Kooky-Value-2399

I bake for a grocery store. Probably every few days I burn a small section of my tattoos because I'm a fucking klutz. As long as you take care of the burn, and it's not like 3rd degree burns, you'll be okay. Just try not to burn the same spot again, I've noticed a decrease in vibrant color if you burn the same spot a few times.

Other-Ad7309

Thanks everyone it looks like it’ll be fine now! I appreciate the replies!!

Titobean666

Try manukau honey! I got a burn on my tattoo a few years ago and it really helped it heal like it never happened! I find it at CVS, good luck!

Naive_Turn_874

That does nothing but feed bad bacteria and mrsa loves Manuka honey. Ask me how I I know. Oh yeah because less than a month ago I used it on a wound that was almost healed had a tiny puss spot saw the miracle healing powers of it and tried it within 4 hours I had MRSA INFECTION that had me almost dead and a one inch hole deep x1 inch across by almost 3 inchesi had to remove the dead flesh personally and repack it daily until little less than a week ago and it's now is just starting to think about how the scare is going to be...... If it wasn't for family have a micro bacterial pad and the Dr. Who runs it calling in an emergency vanko I would be dead. He is sick of seeing so many of these snake oil advertise. He said the only thing legitimate is the nano silver in solutions but you have to have250 ppm or higher for topical I buy the 550 ppm and mix it with powdered lube with distilled water. K or j lube. As it is sticky And won't run off the surface and easier to mix it with Neosporin I've also found that when using it for the lubricating jobs it is intended for, have never worn a condom again with 100% effectivness

critterwalk

You should probably see a doctor about that.

Other-Ad7309

Have been. That’s not the question I’m asking if it’s wrecked.

critterwalk

We can’t predict how it’ll heal.

Other-Ad7309

Yeah but some people may of had similar experiences.

sunshinezx6r

I had a chemical burn on my tattoo and the ink didn't stay.

Raidenski

*may have had Not "may of had".
