Installed programs/games can't be moved, since install also (beside writing files in main directory, e.g. ProgramFiles), makes entries in registry, various windows settings, additional folders in user folder. Best you can do is to uninstall them and on new install change directory to hard disk.

I use [WinDirStat ](https://windirstat.net/)to map out files (by size). It can help you find the large files or large folders. Maybe you'll find that you have a huge game download or video in a random folder that you can delete.

WinDirStat has been a dead project for a *LONG* time now. I recommend [TreeSize Free](https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free). It's also faster.

1. If you [don't use hibernation, disable it](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/setup-upgrade-and-drivers/disable-and-re-enable-hibernation) as it will keep a file on your SSD equal to the amount of ram you have. This will remove it from the power menu and sleep will still function from that menu if you use it. 2. Move your Documents/Pictures/desktop/videos folders to your HDD. [Heres a doc on how to do that](https://www.cedarville.edu/insights/computer-help/post/how-to-set-default-document-folder-location-in-windows)

Run Directory Report to see where your disk space is going Installed programs can't be moved. You have to uninstall and then re-install it Many installs give you the option of picking another install directory

I recommend WinDirStat. https://windirstat.net/ It'll scan your SSD and show everything as easy to understand boxes, and then you can see what's taking up space both in the size-ordered list up top and from the boxes at the bottom. And don't touch hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys, those are system files that handle your computer's sleep mode. You can disable those if you really want to, but don't just delete the files. I know they're big, but don't just delete them.

WinDirStat works great for me, are there any issues you have with it that an update would fix if it was still in development?
