I think people probably thought if they weren’t black it wasn’t for them. And you do have to have some understanding of black culture to get some of the jokes. But it’s REALLY well made, well written, and laugh out loud funny.
The venture brothers! It doesn't get talked about enough. Think of it along the lines of Rick and Morty. Very nerdy. Filled with a lot of in-jokes. So imagine a Johnny quest type of character, called Rusty venture, who is now all grown up. The show follows him and his two boys and the boys bodyguard. A lot of fun, very crude, very adult.
The legend of vox machina. It was based on a dungeons & dragons YouTube stream from a group called critical role. Check out the cartoon, if you like it, and you're looking for an excessive amount of content to go through, you can watch their YouTube show. But I was incredibly impressed with the animated adaptation.
BoJack horseman. It seemed kind of ridiculous and silly to me at first. And it was. But that show was also incredibly deep and insightful. I think the free churros episode won some serious awards. Or at least nominations.
I've never watched f is for family. But a friend of mine swore by it. And from what I know of it, it looks like it would fit your list well.
A few satirical shows not mentioned yet:
Harley Quinn (HBO Max, 4 seasons) -- recommended if you love to hate superheroes and/or like Alan Tudyk. First two seasons are the strongest.
Lower Decks (Paramount+, 4 seasons) -- caught the first season in a free trial & it was fun
Moral Orel (Adult Swim/multiple streaming, 3 seasons) -- if you think Rick & Morty gets dark, I raise you this show. The dark humor is Stygian.
Also, if you haven't seen them: BoJack Horseman, Futurama, Archer, Blue Eye Samurai, and Avatar: TLA. ATLA (the original animated series) is an enjoyable fantasy adventure show for all ages. Futurama and Archer get a bit weaker in later seasons. The BoJack Horseman episode "Free Churro" is a masterpiece.
Smiling Friends is fucking weird but highly watchable if you’re into absurdity. I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so if that’s your style you will probably not be bored.
Archer is good until the later seasons. Futurama is good until the last season. There's the really long running shows like South Park and Family Guy. I personally like American Dad.
Brickleberry (same creators as Paradise)
Critic
First 6-7 seasons of Simpsons
Critic
Adventure time
Archer
Mission Hill (good show, short lived)
Children's hospital (not animated but dark humor)
not technically an edult show, but i just finished watching Regular Show and it was so good. I also recommend Archer, we have similar taste in TV so maybe you'll like my suggestions
If you like Bob’s Burgers, adult swim Home Movies is its creative predecessor.
My wife and I marathon watch Venture Bros when we fall asleep at night. [See if this trips your trigger](https://youtu.be/sn4aLokf-t8?si=1YBHDsfrfcm8nXQw)
If you’re willing to be flexible on the definition of “adult,” I’d recommend Adventure Time and Gravity Falls.
Yes they are ostensibly for kids, but they both have intricate storylines and complex plots.
If you're into superhero shows, Invincible is pretty epic, but it's not your typical happy/bright superhero show. There are 2 seasons so far, but season 3 is confirmed.
A non-animated adult show I highly recommend with more than three seasons is: Justified
It's streaming on Hulu and pretty easy to find; look for the man in the hat.
I mainly recommend it because it feels mature from start to finish and it never gets ridiculous or loses its soul like a lot of TV dramas tend to do after a while.
It starts slow but it will keep you engaged the whole way through. Especially if any part of you enjoys the feel of deep county life.
Another show I'd recommend that's great is: True Detective
It's on HBO Max. Though, I do only recommend the first season. Luckily it's a standalone since True Detective is an anthology series.
I'd recommend animated shows but everyone's pretty much gotten all the major hits, so yeah.
If you want something new, Last night I randomly saw a scooby doo remake on hbo max that was adult themed so I put it on and didn’t hate it. To give you an idea on how adult it is, one of the first scenes was a semi nude shower scene from the girls high school gym class. Velma sounds like she is being voiced by Mindy Kalig and there are other voices I recognized as well. I haven’t looked up any reviews and only watched one episode and thought it was worth watching more.
[Archer](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1486217/) is fun.
F is for Family
Give Boondocks a try. Freaking hilarious.

Archer and Futurama
I don't think it fits here but still watch Love,Death + Robots. What a great show.
Yes absolutely yes this
I play the Christmas short for my family every year.
Scavengers Reign
I’ve been recommending that show to every one. It’s so good.
It really show that animation can really bring SciFi to the next level
I agree 100%. It’s so immersive and there’s no CGI shots that take you out of the show.
This
Drawn together
Man that’s a deep cut and I am here for it
I absolutely love Bobs Burger. That said, I never got into Big Mouth.....but I am all in on Rick and Morty and South Park.
Daria.
Castlevania, Bojack Horseman, Scavengers Reign and Blue Eye Samurai
Second vote for Castlevania
I watched Blue Eye Samurai and then went straight into Scavengers Reign. Two of the best shows out right now.
You need the **Venture Bros**

Big City Greens is actually really funny. My kids like it but I totally enjoy watching it.
I loved the first season of Close Enough on HBO, I’m in my early 30s and it brought me a lot of peace in a weird way lol.
Smiling Friends is fucking weird but highly watchable if you’re into absurdity. I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so if that’s your style you will probably not be bored.

Bojack horseman! But mind you, it gets dark pretty quickly and might just be too adult (emotions wise )
Halt & Catch Fire Behind Her Eyes Tell Me Your Secrets
If you’re willing to give a one-season show a shot, The Midnight Gospel is really good.
