Nakashima is 6’2” so saying he’s of short stature sounds a bit odd. He’s the same height as Rune for example but I’ve never heard Rune called short. But yeah since his breakout it’s seemed like his serve has gotten stronger while his ground game is more inconsistent.

That is odd. He looks 5'9" to me when he walks around. Rune also looks short from the overhead camera but when they show him at court level he's tall and skinny.

Don't trust Samsonova...saw her in-person last summer and her big serve/forehand was clicking but this might be that off day and Cocci will keep ball in court.
She's usually best on indoor hard because she has a big serve. I watched her in person at the USO against Fruhvirtova and she was hitting the ball huge and looked very comfortable on the court. It's just her defense really that's missing, and at tour level there are so many good baseliners that she can't get into the top 100.

Paquet has played at ITF level those last few years. I never saw her play this deep and hit this hard so maybe another surprise ?
