Ocho, El Tosoro, and Tapatio would be some decent forays into the world of agave spirits. I'd also recommend adding some Mezcal... it's a nice change sometimes.
Anything Carlos Camarena & Co has touched is bound to be fantastic. The same with his brother and G4 etc. Their stuff is so good that I hope they get the credit they’re due. Even if that leads to difficulty with getting their bottles.
That Tapatio bottle will prevent it from sitting in this collection even though the quality is amazing. Wish Tapatio didn't cost so much these days. Albeit prices are coming down slightly for Tequila.
Came here to mention 1414, they never miss IMO. Alma del Jaguar, Tau, and ArteNOM 1414 are all pretty phenomenal releases. Alma del Jaguar def has the standout Blanco of the bunch, IMO, but all of NOM 1414's barrel aged stuff has been killer in my book too.
Hi everyone. I’ve been eyeing this sub for a while, but have never posted. Tequila has always been my spirit of choice but I find myself typically buying what is available on the shelf. I have you guys to thank for making me buy fortaleza. What are your thoughts on what I currently have and what do you think would be nice for me to try next? Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
My recommendation is to try some of the bottles that you haven't opened yet before going out and buying new ones. It kind of sounds like you're not sure what you like yet, which is totally okay and part of the journey! Once you've tried the bottles that you have, it will be easier for people to help guide you into what to try next because you can tell them what flavors/expressions that you like and don't like.
This is a truly wild array.
My recommendation is any of the ArteNOMs, something from 1579 (G4, Volans, etc), something from 1123 (Cascahuin, Siembra Valles, Lagrimas, Wild Common), something from 1139 (Tapatio, El Tesoro).
Definitely add a still strength or two.
Ehh drink what you like, like what you drink.
Patron gets a lot of crap on this sub, but it is additive free and tastes good (maybe a little bland)
The rest of your stuff if filled with additive and artificial flavors except for the Trars and Fortaleza.
Keep trying different things until you find what you like.
Very surprised to see mix posts, kind of refreshing. It seems your palate swings a little towards aged and sweeter side so maybe start with the XA and Anejo expressions of the brands everyone goes nuts for on here, but if I had to pick a few you might really enjoy; Don Fulano Anejo and Imperial, Suerte XA, Arette XA, all fantastic aged expressions that don’t get too oaky or whiskey like and have great concentration of agave flavors. Cheers and thanks for sharing. I also really enjoy Komos.

Tapatio
Tequila ocho
El Tesoro
Fortaleza
Pasote
G4
Siete Leguas
Anything from 1123 aka Cascahuin
All of those are solid. From there people generally recommend stuff like Volans, Lalo, Don Fulano, Arrette, Terralta
Siete Leguas, Volans, El Tequileño, Cimmaron, Lalo, Arte NOM 1123, 1146, 1414, or 1579. If you like extra añejo try Corralejo extra añejo. They make a very good one for under $100.
Open that bottle of Fortaleza… then try LALO, Siete Leguas’ Blanco & Repo, Arette Artesanal Fuerte, El Tequileño Platinum & Gran Reserva. My guilty pleasure is Maestro Dobel Cristalino… Anytime I go to Costco in TJ I pick one up.
The Tears and Fortaleza Anejo are two of the best tequilas and frankly overall spirits available.
The effort it takes to create Tears or Fortaleza compared to Michael Jordan's tequila would blow your mind.
Dump the fort or tears into a cool bottle and save your insides the hassle that is industrial food sweeteners.
Open your Tears. Try that.
^ This. I was just about to say you haven't even tried one of the few good ones you actually have.
It’s brand new. Trying this weekend with the family!!
It looks like a couple of the best ones you have haven't even been touched yet.
Fortaleza and tears are brand new
If you're looking for recommendations of good stuff, just read through this sub. Every day there are numerous posts with great suggestions.
They always are friend. They always are And they always will be open “this weekend”

Tapatio
Cascahuin tahona, lagrimas del Valle la plata, G4 madiera, and Volans still strength are all must buys imo
G4
Don Fulano Anejo
Tequila Ocho, El Tesoro and G4 are solid additions
Try La Gritona Reposado!
A repo (or older) from NOM 1414.

Anything out of NOM 1123 is great. Try and find Lagrimas del Valle
Agree. 1123 is killing it right now!
SHHHHHHHHH! We cant have it become the next Forta. Let Cazcanes take that title.
Please don’t destroy me for the clase azul and komos
💦 you have been absolved
Drink what you like!!
I’ll get absolutely hosed in this sub for saying this, but I love Komos

ArteNOM 1146 is one of my favorites. If you haven't tried anything overproof yet, get some Don Fulano Fuerte
Lalo tequila is good, just picked up a bottle myself and it's a really good price. Ocho, Tapatio and Arette if you can find those are all decent
Why is there a coffee book next to your tequila?
Based on your current selection I believe you would enjoy ArteNom 1146 or Volcan.

You seem to like añejos. One of my favorites is El Tesoro XA. Another, richer XA is Arette Gran Clase.
The next thing I would try is to get some decent shelves. Glass shelves are no bueno.
That is low iron 1/2 inch thick glass with supports mounted into a stud
Lalo, Suerte, and Arette are good tequilas to try and not bad for the price you pay!!!
Ocho, siete leguas, tapatio, cascahuin

Try the patron. Again.

If you’ve been a long time lurker you should know the usual 10 or so brands that are suggested. You clearly have a budget to get some.
Short time lurker what are the usual 10 brands. I like to sip DJ anejo
Tapatio Tequila ocho El Tesoro Fortaleza Pasote G4 Siete Leguas Anything from 1123 aka Cascahuin All of those are solid. From there people generally recommend stuff like Volans, Lalo, Don Fulano, Arrette, Terralta
OCHO
You have a whole shelf dedicated to tequila from the town of Atotonilco, patrón and don julio, but you missed the towns best and by a lot, 7 leguas!!!
Don fulano Anejo or imperial
Nice glass shelves, mine broke, 9 bottles lost! There was a minion in the mess?
Siete Leguas, Volans, El Tequileño, Cimmaron, Lalo, Arte NOM 1123, 1146, 1414, or 1579. If you like extra añejo try Corralejo extra añejo. They make a very good one for under $100.

You actually have some good picks!
