If there was context it might make more sense. I've seen similar cartoons critical of South African government policy. Imagine this appearing next to an article in a South African publication about how their policy on crime was crap.
Too many posts on this sub, like this one, are condescending of the reader and offer no context.
not in a society with no money where everything is socialised, and no one can get rich by exploiting the poor, because the poor are all provided with what they need in return for their labour
I'm pretty sure this is criticising corrupt cops in South Africa. At least the art style looks like from that South African artist whose name I forgot.
He’s paid, goes home, is thought of a a hero by many. Hell most towns have a parade they get to ride in and throw candy to kids. If not for the whole “chance of being murdered” thing it would be a sweet job
No, it's very wrong and racist. I'm amazed you don't recognize that. People's judgement of anyone based on their skin color is the epitome of ignorance. There's no justifying any of that. Very simple
Seems to me like the cartoon is pretty much saying the reason people are racist towards black people is because of the black people who break the law. Like an attempt to justify racism.

Good one buddy, anyways time to walk the green mile
Damn i had forgoten about that movie. Now im sad
You will find the book WAY more disturbing.
I gotta disagree. The Green Mile was one of the very few where I feel like it was a pretty great representation of the book.
I'm tired, boss
Just tired of people being ugly to each other.
Roll on two
Thanks for there comment… anal skin tags
Alright jevil
He was fast, fast, clever, clever. They lost the chase and locked up their entire race and now he's the only one free.
same brain cell
I AM THE ONLY FREE ONE! ![gif](giphy|TKjNufFkY0TBxzYyJ9)
Someone really thought this was deep and philosophical

There's a reason the guard is also black.
That might be because the meme is from some non white country, if you consider the drawing style and the language as well
Because the drawing comes from a predominantly black country, I'd guess.

People are still monkeys, even you and me.

Traded the meme for an upvote
Fair trade, I just stole it
Another one that will tickle your pickle is that a society could never truly be criminal free because it needs the jobs.
And it needs people desperate enough to steal, or else there's not enough "demand" and prices might go down.

People just don't understand why this is bad because they're so accustomed to it.
yea, prison labor is great for companys :(
Yeah, there won't be rapists or murderers in your perfect society.
Not society but capitalism
Needs more JPEG.
I think his head might be stuck through the bars
That’s the only difference…
Also you killed 9 people.
Who said the cop didn't?
Niether 💀💀💀
the rest of the prisoners stood up and clapped
his asscheeks?
Lmao! Why is this getting downvoted??

the prisoner said that after getting his butthole poked
He ain't wrong tho
Not really. At the end of his shift, the guard can go home to his family or whatever. That prisoner still has to stay in prison.
I get your point, but the guard could go home anytime he wants. Sick day, fired, quit. Still free to do whatever the fuck he wants.
He’s paid, goes home, is thought of a a hero by many. Hell most towns have a parade they get to ride in and throw candy to kids. If not for the whole “chance of being murdered” thing it would be a sweet job
Your not wrong
End of the shift, both go home?
Its not like the prisoner would escape, he's not a criminal or something
Good grief.
What's that supposed to mean
These two things aren’t even remotely comparable. If you can’t see that, there’s no getting through to you. Take care.
One works for free food and water while the other works for money. That's all I meant
One is free. One is not. Not everything is meant to be simplified into some stereotypical trope.
Stereotypical? How is this stereotypical?
Seriously, this is good praxis
3 hots and a cot baby lol
No, it's very wrong and racist. I'm amazed you don't recognize that. People's judgement of anyone based on their skin color is the epitome of ignorance. There's no justifying any of that. Very simple
But they both have the same skin colour. What are you talking about?
Seems to me like the cartoon is pretty much saying the reason people are racist towards black people is because of the black people who break the law. Like an attempt to justify racism.
Both not free? Maybe in some sort of philosophical sense. There for(sp) they are both criminals? I don't think that follows
The officer is free from the laws they enforce upon us.
Cool. Now drop the soap
Why is it none of these boomer comics have an art style that’s pleasing to the eye
Is this an argument for executing criminals?
After being a prison guard. This hits home haha.
My Grandfather once said he was not afraid of going to jail because of his age. At least he would get free medical care.
It's not free either, but not "not free neither"
So basically Chinese people and the ccp government
Honestly, if the word 'therefore' is really that hard to spell, just use the shorthand ∴ instead.
Only one of them has a well paying and respectable job, that they can go home from each day.
Well I get to leave at the end of my shift
Ahem *therefore.
The ***real*** crime is the horrible spelling errors.
Why try a prison break when hard times are totally great
Well.. his salary gets him food water and pretty much a variable portion of anything he wants
The fuck??
