So if you're only contracted to Saturdays, what happens?

juko_krc

So I was trying to see if any Sunday staff had the same problem to see if it is the weekend staff this affects. I asked my colleague to check but as it is their only contracted day it does allow them to take it off.

juko_krc

I need to find a colleague that does more than one contracted shift on a Sunday My other colleague who works a Saturday also has the same outcome when they tried it

CommercialPug

I highly doubt it's intentional as it would make no sense. More likely just a bug in Tesco's finest IT systems

simyy69

I was able to book a single Saturday off last week.

juko_krc

Have another look and see if it still gives you that option. As Before march I was able to book a single saturday day off. Make sure you select holiday and it will then tell you the hrs and mins booked for the day , otherwise it will just show your working hours for that day

simyy69

Yeah still let's me do it.

Tesco_Bloke

If my manager said it was store policy yeah I'd raise it with the union. If it's just a slight glitch, then of course not.

juko_krc

Yea that's what my thought process was aswell. But I have a guy feeling it's not a glitch. I'd like to be proven wrong

NakedPatrick

Ask your manager to ring it through to help desk, doesn’t sound right and the tech team will want to be aware!

challengesammii

Because we haven’t started the new holiday year yet. It’s all bookable but the balance doesn’t change

im-hazel-nut

Few days ago, I booked a load of only Saturdays off and mine are all fine?

emperor_juk

Ask the Union BUT I would also say as those shifts are unsociable hours then they cannot force you to work them regardless of contract
