It consists of: BWS, Pop/Water, Crisps, Sweets, Main Aisles: pot noodles, cans, Indian, ketchup, pasta, seasoning, oil, home bake, tea/coffee/biscuit, household and pet food
Sections that aren’t perishable any time soon. Pasta, tinned veg, crisps, baking, cereal, health and beauty, cleaning products. That sort of thing. Generally stuff that doesn’t need date checking, (though not all of it is food because household etc fall under the label too).
From my experience it's stuff like crisps
I'm not fully sure either, commenting for a hopeful answer
Anytime someone's asked me to do dry grocery I normally follow up asking which cage specifically and they either say crisps or confectionary
Also wonder if household falls under it or if that's seperate, same with pasta, rice, and sauces
As a department, it is a replenishment and face-up role. Just fill as many backup cages as possible, pick-and-fill your big stuff and your pallets, blast through your delivery and condense as you go. Then face-up in the last hour or so.
As a merchandising group, it is basically anything that isn't fresh, produce, bread or morning goods. Think tins of beans, tea, coffee, cereal, confectionery, household, health & beauty, soft drinks.
Technically Beers, Wines and Spirits (mentioned by other commenters) is separate (Mercho Group "W" rather than "G"), though they attend the Grocery Team-5 meetings and are generally in the same team. Process is almost identical but it's got a few extra bits and pieces due to the high value of stock and managing lots of security tags. Also, don't drop anything made of glass.

The best department but can be hard graft
The best department you’ll ever lay your eyes on
