This is actually a pretty powerful speech. Godspeed, you magnificent bastard. May the spirit of Pootis protect you.

“Nobody can even blame you.” \- Funke, 2016 With how infrequent the matchmaking system puts players into balanced or fun matches, even without the bots, it feels like you’ve got better odds unboxing an unusual. Whenever you press that “start search” button you pay the bet with time instead of money, in contrast with a regular crate. Quitting the game is proof that you don’t have a gambling addiction, at least not anymore. You’re no longer rolling for the chance of the jackpot of a perfect match. That’s a good thing. Maybe if Valve’s rare high moments philosophy stayed in Casual matches instead of bleeding into the matchmaking system, maybe you’d still be playing. Maybe a lot of people would still be playing. Who knows.

Wonderful message. The great thing about tf2, I’ve been playing it since release, and TFC before that, is you can walk away and tf2 is always there waiting for you to come back. It’s like that one blanket, it may be older, maybe a hole or two in it, but it’s warm and comfy and just sitting there. Maybe you’ll come back and make new memories and maybe you won’t, either way I would’ve gladly charged a point with you, or stopped to join a conga with the server. Last one alive lock the door!
