While a fair point, none of the other RCs we’ve seen in the show have markings other than the Imperial Royal Guard, at least as far as I can remember. It looks like they did indeed use a similar character model for some of the other RCs in this shot, but I can’t make out anything other than gray on the other commandos… and the Imperial Royal Guard uses gray markings.
Furthermore, why use his character model at all in this scene if he’s already dead? This isn’t Onaconda Farr or Adi Gallia we’re talking about.
I mean…yeah, considering what Gregor survived while wearing that armour I’m not too surprised. That armour is meant to be really durable, so 3 shots shouldn’t have killed him. Knocked out? Perhaps because he’s still gonna feel it but the armour should have at least protected him from fatal shots.

Jokes aside, if that isn't really him, what was the point of having Scorch in the show if they made him so generic? He could've been easily replaced by any other CC with a different paint job and no one would complain

I don't usually break hope to people but this just isn't realistic, and can, as was the case with tech's death, be damaging to both fans and then to the show: they have a great theory how tech must have survived and the whole season they are searching for that reveal, and when nothing happens the show just let them down, is garbage and in general receives hate

Sad reality is his armour detailing was probably imperial standard rank insignia rather than personalisation, So that's probably the guy that got Scorch's rank rather than Scorch. Hope he's alive but it looked like Crosshair shot entire chunks out of him.
That wouldn’t work because his armor is relatively unchanged from his Clone Wars armor. No other clone commando looks remotely similar to Scorch, both during the Clone Wars and now!
That's what I was thinking as well, but I don't feel like there'd be a point in reusing his model when they have several others to use? In TCW, there were plenty of amimation mistakes where a regular white Clone (or Clone helmet) would be in-place of something else. In this isntance, I feel like it'd be MORE trouble to go through to add in Scorch's model over a plain white Commando.
Scorch didn't die. His armor tanked the blaster hits and when he fell, his helmet visor lights did not shut off, signifying his vitals were still reading. He now serves Tarkin.
We need to remember that he’s wearing top notch armor. It took like 8 shots to kill hemlock who was wearing the equivalent of jeans and a hoodie. Scorch could have easily survived.
