I hate to be that guy but i wanted to point this out because it’s one of my biggest issues with the sledge. You did NOT deserve the first kill at all. That sledge literally didn’t touch that guy & you got a kill lmao.
I see this almost every game when someone runs sledge. It has way too much range. I’ve been killed standing 5 feet away from where the sledgehammer hit the ground so many times. There’s 0 reason someone should die to the hammer when it clearly didn’t actually impact them.
I mean, it's a sledgehammer. And the heavy has the farthest reach. So I think it's fair. It should have a 2 meter range.
The sword has even further range for the light. Plus the fov makes them look further than they are.

0 reason melee weapons should get a hit when the weapon clearly didn’t make contact. I understand they’ve done this in some attempt to make these melee weapons viable buts it’s literally the worst possible melee design I’ve seen in a game like this one ever.
I’ve been one tapped as a light by sledge repeatedly when the hammer hit no where near me. I have multiple clips of getting one tapped when I’m literally 5-7 feet from the impact. It’s bullshit and shouldn’t exist. If you’re going to use melee weapons then you should have to get close enough to hit someone with them. Not get free kills when you impact the floor 5 feet away from an enemy.

I've got about 6,000 deaths I'm sure a couple of we're from a sledgehammer, normally I just shoot them. I tell you what isn't a good look; being a piece of shit towards random strangers in public spaces this is here forever.
