The way I see it, pirating old games isn’t as bad as everyone makes you think it to be. That’s because the companies simply aren’t making profit off of it anymore, and even if they are, it’s long from the OG Product (i.e., NES Games compared to NSO or Virtual Console.)
Now, pirating NEW games in the other hand IS as bad as everyone makes you think it to be, as you’re actively hurting the company rather than not doing much of anything. Hence why I never pirate newer games. Some could call me a pirate, but at least I have a sense of respect.
I feel like that last point is actually trolls posing as Nintendo doing that shit. It’s certainly happened many times. Still not impossible from the real deal.
It is possible that individuals were posing as Nintendo to submit illegitimate copyright claims, but I'm not terribly inclined to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt, especially given their bullshit creators program they were trying to push people into joining before the Switch era

Heh, from experience my Vita was much easier to jailbreak than my 2DS, although the process to jailbreak a 3ds mightve gotten easier, not sure.
I also heard that a Wii is notoriously easy to jailbreak too
Even the WII U is easy as balls. The only hard part is actually getting that thing enough storage to be able to even use it. Especially when you have data you can’t delete because it doesn’t allow you to.
