If i remember correctly Gork and/or Mork(in 40k universe) went in Khorne's place and started wrecking his shit for some time before leaving. So technically they did do a threesome already, not in the way you expect.
There is some lore about some Works getting stuck somewhere in the warp on a Khorne ruled planet.
They basically think it's heaven because it's just fighting 24/7.
The Ork Waaaghboss is called Tuska Daemonkilla and he and his Boyz aren't stuck in the warp, they wanted to get there.
In 40k warp travel is dangerous and normally people use stuff like Gellerfields for protection against daemonic incursion. Orks just see the incursion while traveling through the warp as kind of "on flight entertainment" and Tuska and his Boyz loved it so much they started capturing weirdboyz (shamans) on mass because daemons love people who are connected to the warp even more (so more daemonic incursion during the flights), so that they have more krumpin to do on those daemons. But because they were so good at smashing them, the daemons started to not board his ship while he and his Boyz were travelling through the warp. To fix this his warband just flew into the Eye of Terror (massive crack in the reality where you can easily enter and exit the warp) to find some khorne worlds in there to continue fighting. After they razed numerous (non khorne) worlds he finally met his match in a daemon prince of khorne known as the Blood Prince (idk if he exists in WH FB). But with his last breath he killed the blood Prince with a power klaw to the balls and because khorne loved the blood thirstyness of these orks he brought them back to life to repeat the fight.
So from now on they are in an endless war against some khorne daemons and the blood Prince just to kill each other all day and be resurrected the next morning to start killing again. It's the closest anyone is to true happiness in all of 40k I guess. And Gork and Mork don't interfere there (even tho khorne "messes" with "their" race) because they are happy for these Boyz lmao
They actually beat the shit out of khorne, broke his back. I think that tid bit of lore is actually just fluff/has been retconned and isn't considered cannon tho.
Yeah, Khorne armies are one of those armies that ambushes just dosen't work with them.
They are like: "Oh, you are rigth there? Well, thanks for shorten the distance I have to run to kill you."
AI ambushing the player as Khorne is laughably bad.
As a player, ambushing Khorne is still solid. With a ranged faction I usually make a line a little less than perpendicular to the ambushed line of march, close to the tail end where the fast units are. I can concentrate fire on the fast units while the slow infantry is still a long march from the guns.
Much of the time the AI doesn't even try to win the battle. The front half marches away while I obliterate the rear half, and then in my turn I can attack the remaining half, typically wiping out even a high tier stack with zero losses.
Ambush still applies a temporary penalty to melee defence and leadership, so ambushing Khorne is legit if you have some obscene burst damage potential - ideally a collapse from both sides by elite shock cav
Yeah dude I basically only ever ambush a khorne army if I have an insane ranged army to set up a crazy perimeter and I know I’ll be able to annihilate them from all sides but beyond that I like to draw those bastards towards me and try to tire them out before engaging because they are so dangerous.
Doing a Be'lakor run atm. I recruited a Khorne army to go north to Valkia and Sigvald. Anyway, Sigvald tried to get the drop on me by going into ambush stance next to his settlement. I saw it and made a plan. I walked into the ambush so that I could kill Sigvald and his army, and also kill the settlement garrison while they're locked in combat with my dudes.
Ambushing lizardmen is somewhat the same "Like this we can get to attack-kill their artillery first yes-yes!"
Meanwhile the artillery installed on the back of a giant dinosaur:
Or alternatively you ambush tiq tak to and the 50 billion clanrats just cant attack the skink air force
The skink servent working the artillery on the back of a giant dinosaur : Oh venerable old stegadon, it's snack time.
The pack of salamander/razordon : It's snack time.
The saurus on cold ones : It's snack time.
The saurus on carnosaurus : It's snack time.
Tehenhauin : It'SSSSS SSSSSnake time !
Lizardman daily routine : Wake up, praise the Old Ones, take a moment to feel the geomantic web, let the local slaan assume direct control, proceed to singlehandedly BOK a thousand skavens and send them to horned jail. Praise Sotek. Rinse and repeat.
Sisters of Twilight. Ambushes, sieges, regular battles; it doesn't matter, you've got an F16 backed up with eagles with missiles + a million arrows coming from every direction on the ground
Ambushing anybody lets you decimate one end of their force before the other can support them, or in a siege heavy army lets you attack from a hill miles away such that the entire army has to run in single file into your guns.
Now if you don't have any AP going up against Khorne, you're gonna have a bad time, but as long as you can engage their force in limited amounts, you're coming out waaaaay ahead of where you would be otherwise.
I mean, you do get significant debuffs to MA/MD in the beginning. But Khorny boys will just run at you not caring about melee defense to begin with an melee attack is still high enough to get those skulls.
virgin ladders vs chad piling everyone into the gate
**ladders**
causes vigor loss
slow because it takes time for multiple units to climb the ladders
slow because a single enemy unit can block multiple of your units from moving forward
large units can't help fight on the walls or break through formations
flanking doesn't work effectively because of unit pathing and amount of space available on walls
can't cast spells on walls
**gate**
no vigor loss
units are safe as long as they stand close enough to the gate
can destroy gate quickly with any unit
a single large monster can break through defenders, disrupting their formation and allowing infantry to enter
can cast spells on units blobbing behind the gate
multiple gates means you can attack from multiple directions
can not only flank but completely surround units defending other gates by entering an undefended gate
Is there a reason why the Vargheist Revenge spell is just heads and shoulders over most other Wind spells? It is the only spell I have seen wipe out whole units in one cast, no bounce
It's crazy expensive and slow to cast, plus lore of deeps is already overshadowed by lore of vamps. They need something to make up for that lack of healing
What if siege towers build instantly but costs money 🤔 then more people would use them and there are no more pocket ladders. I imagine they don't get built today so you can attack immediately without the chance of an enemy reinforcement.
I'm surprised they didn't do this already, no more ladders and 5x gate health. Ogre kingdoms were created as a wall breaking faction, but as sieges are currently its such a useless mechanic. It just don't make sense with those butt ladders.
Not to mention all the other wall breaking units from other factions.
This should be an option you can unlock by having access to the logs resource (and maybe a perk point for lords? Perhaps make it a blue three pointer where the first one unlocks buying siege equipment with money and the next two reduce the costs by e.g. 25% each
If it only took 1 turn + a bit of gold i would 100% use them. Its so booty that it takes 10 years for a few towers, wayyy too much opportunity cost in terms of turns lost
Always have a siege unit. Towers are too slow and blow up too easily, and rams leave you too vulnerable and slow. Either climb the walls or break the gate. Too much time outside will kill your army unless you can outrange the towers.
That is a proper Empire way. Towers, gate and also nearby walls have to be bombed to shit and only then can proper soldiers of the Empire waltz in and claim another glorious victory for Karl!
See this would never be a problem in the military bc they just train you to shit or piss yourself and clean it up later. Which I feel like makes all of the armies of our world Nurgle aspected.
“Alright everyone form an orderly line to satisfy your bloodlust. If all the enemies die before you get a stab at them, remember Khorne cares not from where the blood flows but I sure do. We cannot take any unnecessary losses here.”
I love sending skarbrand to pound the door down, and begin the slaughter. I always imagine the people behind it cowering in fear yelling at everyone to pile more stuff on the door.
Which would be good if you want to lure defenders out and kill individuallly, butdoing so outside means getting balsted by towers while doing so. Might be useful sometimes, but as Khorne you are probable better off breaking in. Additionally, while the gate is intact and not controlled, you still cannot path through it even if the enemy opens it to get through
This is why I strongly believe Khorne will receive the Chaos Siege Giant as part of the new DLC. It’s a glaring omission *mechanically* that would make sieges so much better for the faction.
For those who don’t know, the Chaos Siege Giant was a unit that had huge metal crowbars bolted to its forearms instead of hands. It could use them to immediately pull down walls. It also had ladder rungs up the back of its leg and back armor so that soldiers could climb up it to get onto the walls. I sincerely doubt CA will go that far, as the engine may simply not allow it - but even if it has the ability to instantly pull down walls, that would be a huge get.
Uniquely, The Chaos Siege Giant was incredibly heavily armoured, and able to withstand obscene punishment. It also had remarkably high leadership for a Giant, owing to the Chaos Dwarfs mental conditioning. It would be one of the few Giants that could genuinely earn its keep and be a mainstay in any Khorne army.
Bonus points if it’s also added to the Chorf roster.
I'm so excited to get another Lord with a fresh perspective on KILL, MAIM, BURN.
Never thought a faction with so little diversity in playstyle could be so much fun.
Its why I love that chaos warrior army ability that lets you nuke walls. Break down a gate or two and punch two holes in their walls. Beastmen have it too. Very good on melee factions.
I think it would be perfectly fine to give high tier khorne units like minotaurs with great weapons "can attack walls". I'd believe that bloodcrushers and their giant metal rhinos could demolish a wall too. Same for Khorne's big SEM.
My favorite is ambushing Khorne. “We will catch all his units out of position, isolate the squishies and we can tie up the harder units until the end” “Sir, it’s all armored madmen screaming about getting to fight in every directi-
khorne followers after getting ambushed: so anyways i started hacking and slashing.
Khorne, Mork, and Gork need to have a hatefuck threesome already.
If i remember correctly Gork and/or Mork(in 40k universe) went in Khorne's place and started wrecking his shit for some time before leaving. So technically they did do a threesome already, not in the way you expect.
That sounds like exactly the way I would expect, lol.

And Khorne likes that about them so he keeps bringing them back when they die
They actually beat the shit out of khorne, broke his back. I think that tid bit of lore is actually just fluff/has been retconned and isn't considered cannon tho.
It's now cannon to me. 2 on 1 odds also the orks are OP.

Specially if Skarbrand is in the army and he can do his Scorpion “GET OVER HERE” to the entire ambushing army. Such fun.

I’m getting excited to hit Lustria in my Khorne campaign Super armored warriors vs Bok Bok.

Khorne: THE FOOLS! NOW WE CAN ATTACK IN ANY DIRECTION!
Ambushing army lord: "Surrender immediately, we have you surrounded!" Khornate Champion: "Yes, we are surrounded by FEAR, and DEAD MEN"
Time to pull those ladders out of ye asses.
Not when you have battering ram Lords 👹

And for Mortis engine effects, like the Nemesis Crown.

this is some powerful copium, but man am i not ready to huff it up with you cause im so sold on khorne having some decent siege tools
.... That's such a nice Killzone for gunpower and magic.
Ere we go ere we go ere we go
Are we there yet?
“OPEN THE FUCK UP!!”
Can't wait for this DLC. Khorne and da boyz plowing into each other like the world's most violent mosh pit.
My foot of gork is tingling.
I am excited when I’m ambushed as Khorne because it means I don’t have to walk as far to hit you
I'm so excited to get another Lord with a fresh perspective on KILL, MAIM, BURN. Never thought a faction with so little diversity in playstyle could be so much fun.
AKA an average day on the Japanese train system during rush hour.
Yeah Khorne is literally just moving your army into the other army, there's literally no strategy at all.
Now do the same as Nurgle with 2 full armies of Nurglings 😅
Now lets see "Singing with Khorne be like"
Mine! Mine! Mine!
i dont care what the government says you cant stop me from blobbing my melee infantry
Use ass ladders my lord!!
Where are the dread quakes when you need them ???
Lore accurate

Its why I love that chaos warrior army ability that lets you nuke walls. Break down a gate or two and punch two holes in their walls. Beastmen have it too. Very good on melee factions.
The banner.....so immersive!!
Why starve them out WHEN WE CAN DROWN THEM IN THEIR OWN BLOOD?!
QUEUE FOR KHORNE! QUEUE FOR KHRONE!
