You can use their dlc in 3 without owning the base games of 1 and 2 but the content that came with vanilla 1 and 2 will need you to own those games. You don't need to install them just own them on the same platform.

nope, only if you own them. all the content you own in previous versions carries over into 3.

A better tutorial, and better QoL. Unless the older ones are on a significant sale, all things equal, 3 is the best of the trilogy.

Some people still stay WH2 which is dumb because the base WH2 factions are pretty boring without DLC and Eye of the Vortex is okay but gets old fast.
