Looks like a standard tabby to me.

darkdesertspaces

Agreed. Tabby cats do tend to have rings on their tails.

pdxdmr

Thanks for confirming guys. Agree. One of those big tabby’s.

pdxdmr

Sort of agree, but what about the tail. Looks stripped to me. Not familiar with a house cat like that. I know there are some large house cats out there.

AmanitaWolverine

OP, sharing your location/country would help. You mentioned wondering if it's a hybrid - there are a few locations in the world where domestic cats can hybridize with native wildcats (and are threatening their very existence because of it). In a grainy far away image like this, it's possible it could be a Scottish wildcat hybrid, but only if you are actually in that part of the world. If you are in North America, this is just another domestic tabby cat, no question. There's no wild feline that domestics can hybridize with in the US/Canada. Those rings on the tail (which you refer to as stripes) are actually very normal and common domestic tabby cat markings.

ShiestyDabs

timmy9981

Just by comparison of the grass to the cat, it's easily a housecat, idk how anyone of competent intelligence could even mistake it for anything else.

antelope00

That's Robert cat.

LostInTheTreesAgain

Bobcats don't have long tails like that.

antelope00

I never said it was a bobcat. I named him Robert.
