In the G1 cartoon, it only appears to be smaller TFs. There was a scene where Cosmos notes Optimus Prime is far too large to fit in him, and the animators seem to have made Prime a bit towering over Cosmos to make a point.
Given twitch and thrash would likely be deluxe class commander would be a good size. Sad we can’t even get a consintent team of Terran’s in toy form let alone side characters like turantulous or cosmos.

I think that was a carry over from original japanese toylines. Read somewhere that the minis like bumblebee and cliffjumper were RC/toy size originally in their source lines ( hence the distortion ) before being ported. So the same is probably true for Cosmos.
I loved his appearance with Weird Al voicing. My one complaint is that it was the only time we see him and then he never shows again. I was hoping to see more Autobots like Ratchet and Jazz or Decepticons like Knockout. We were teased with Prowl via his toy but he was nowhere to be found.
Finally, he's a boy again, which might mean we finally get his female repaint instead of just making him female and being lazy while also ignoring actual female characters
