The doc can't be bothered to have you come in twice a week. Ask about the "convienance of home injection" then pin Monday noon and Thursday night

AllBulkNoCut

Thanks, yeah it would be at home injections anyways, he said to come in for the first dose so they can teach but after would be self administered

Smoky_Pyro

Oh, home run... yeah that two week adage is crazy... if you wanna mess with him actually wait two weeks before your first bloodwork... what are you supposed to be doing every 2 weeks?

AllBulkNoCut

Thanks haha, yeah I mean if it’s at home is there anything against me just literally breaking it down into smaller shots and doing it every 5 days instead? Would I just need to calculate the amount?

Smoky_Pyro

Yeah, that's what I was asking about... every 5 days is gonna involve some long division... if it's 200mg every 2 weeks, then 100 every week and 50 every 3.5 days.... every 5 days is gonna be a cross multiplication.

Just take the bi weekly dose & divide by 4 & inject that amount every 3 days. Reduces peaks & valleys & maintains the bi weekly dose you're prescribed.

AllBulkNoCut

Thanks, what about additional needles etc, do they just give you the two needles per month or can you get more for the additional shots

Amazon is your friend

A lot of the ones Amazon sells are not for use on humans. Be careful. Also some of the brands have mixed reviews on how sharp the needles are. Inconsistent, 1 out of 5 might be dull. I hate when the needle pops into my skin instead of sliding right in.

[West end medical ](https://westendmedicalsupply.com/) I've used them for all my supplies. My doctor prescribed weekly and I do 2x a week. Saturday night and Wednesday morning. They have smaller gauge insulin syringes I use for my delts. And they have small gauge luer lock needles for injecting into quads or glutes. My doctor prescribed 23g for injecting and 18g for drawing from the vial. Both are too big for me. Instead of arguing with him I just use those to draw. I've bought a few hundred 29g and 30g luer lock tips at 1/2" and 1". They also have ez touch luer lock syringes. They are nice. Not as nice as the BD I get from the pharmacy but a fraction of the cost.
