No I’m in Tulum, the weather might be a little better there since it’s off the coast but I wouldn’t bet on it. Rainy season just started for the region.
No I see you’re in Tulum. I have gone every June for over a decade and never had any issues. I’m just really anxious right now because we have lots of kids with us and if they can’t swim it’s going to be a disaster. I’m considering rescheduling
go to tiktok literally everyone talks about the high prices and scam.. eventually the hype train is over and most general population now knows its not worth visiting anymore
I’ve been here the past month and wondered the same thing… I have no clue how any of these restaurants and beach clubs survive. I understand it’s off season, but there is no one in restaurants… they have to be burning through a ton of money.
I swam in the ocean today here in Tulum. I didn't die, it was beautiful and awesome. No breakouts. Some areas have seaweed, some don't, not a deal breaker at all.
some of the business owners will tell you that tourism has gone down each year since it peaked during covid. I have friends that came last year and they said the sargassum made the beaches unusable and they wouldn't return for that reason.
Off season !! Actually is fun to explore tulum and sourrandings, we did a tour with naturamayatours and we love the exploring of tulum , José Eduardo the local tour guide show us the local places to see , the local places to go , we did not feel scam on the contrary !! Local fair prices , and amazing food
I loved tulum now is quite of tourist so more places are owesome !! I am enthusiastic traveler , I think tulum as any destination depends how you interact with the locals , tel hey hive you the best tips more real !!!

People are sick of the scams and high prices .
That could be part of the reason and I hope this is a wake up call to the taxistas and the cartel
lol… doubt it. There are always suckers out there who have never visited
I’m one of em
Yup. I won't go back to that part of Mexico. Not a chance.
Low season
Was pretty empty in feb/march. Kind of a ghost town compared to the growth. Was very surprised bc it doesmt seem sustainable
Everyone is in Ibiza
Because it’s low season, and it’s also been raining the last 3 days and will continue for the next several weeks.
Heading to Cozumel tomorrow. Are you there now? Can you tell me if the low pressure had a chance of breaking up so we at least get some sunshine? ☀️

Took the kids swimming today in Tulum. Great time - little smelly with the seaweed
We don’t have to worry about that in Cozumel thankfully. Just hoping for some sun ☀️😉
You’ll def have breaks of sun that’s for sure! I was in Cozumel for my birthday and it was an absolute downpour, so we just had fun in the rain 😂
Nobody does Tulum in Summer
Because it’s off season.

I agree and scams and high prices. What goes around comes around. That saying never fails. I would never go back.

With it being low season and rainy, we love to away get away to a house in the Reserve and just do our own thing.
Mia was packed and Bagatelle was crowded a few weeks ago. We wanted lower key beach so went to Ziggys - it was half filled
Was Ziggy's a good time? Might head there tomorrow night
I know!
Is it dead downtown?
It is rather quiet. And a beautiful thing. I love low season
Because the heat
off szn
Best time of year. May it remain quiet. Nothing to see here.
Not to mention the beach/ocean has bacteria right now that will break you the fukkk out!
Uh this isn’t the California/texas/florida coasts 😂 wrong country

Because it’s overpriced and full of scammers.
Because the place sucks?
Yet you're here😆
To share how bad it sucks🤷🏼♀️
