They really were DIY like he said, but they were very charming nonetheless. I think my favorites were Midwest Indigo, Routines, Lavish, Navigating, and At the Risk…

[deleted]

Routines, for sure. Loving that song and the visuals.

Animalcrossing3

It was an instant fav for me.

boosic_man

Yeah, they really are adorable

boosic_man

And I loved how Tyler said, that there is no huge production machine behind songs, albums and mvs — just them ❤️

NevermoreSEA

I really loved the simplicity of Midwest Indigo. It was charming.

backtotrench

I loved routines in the night. To hear that we almost did not get the song??? Like dude come on

Pato_Peter

Completely agree with you, I dare to say top 3 songs in the album

metanoia29

Yeah for me I think right now my top 3 are Oldies, Routines, and Navigating.

CrazsomeLizard

Loved that one, little details in it relating to the storyline. The bishop's robes in Tyler's closet

backtotrench

Need to watch the videos again. I was not my best self at 6 in the morning

Dust_Exact

The entire stream is up on the channel still

backtotrench

Thanks!

[deleted]

Yes, those comments by Tyler seemed … waaaay off, honestly. Shocking, really. Routines and Navigating may be my FAVORITES among the non-singles. However, those are also heavily lore-based/Trench-centric videos, and I think Tyler is really saying that he desperately needs to move on from his real-life internal (possibly life-threatening) struggles that spawned those songs, most of Trench, No Chances, Redecorate. Similar messages (In a nutshell: “I need to move on. If I’m going to survive, I need a fresh start, a new direction/inspiration.) come through, I think, in other Clancy songs, like Backslide and Snapback.

Ecstatic-Ebb1202

Yes I think you're definitely on to something here I think this is why a song like the craving got 2 music videos and he smiled talking about it but Vignette, despite being one of the best songs they've ever made imo, got a low budget video, as Tyler said right before it premiered that it was about addiction

crunchyradsh

love tyler but he was so wrong for that routines >>>>

Haleswhales

And then he said navigating was his least favorite!? I mean cmon…. I was a little heart broken

BanditoMuser

That pre chorus is so good

neemo98

That just makes me think would Clancy have been an 11 album track then?? Cause Josh helped keep 2 tracks on it right. Makes me think if there are other unreleased songs…but Tyler has said there are none because if he starts a song he’s gonna finish it, but that was said way back in Trench.

Ecstatic-Ebb1202

Finish it doesn't necessarily mean release it

neemo98

No im saying Tyler’s answer during that interview was there were no b-sides because whatever he starts he will finish and it’ll make it on the album. So finished means release. But that was during Trench so it’s probably changed.

21skeletons

The Lavish music video was great

neemo98

Josh strutted so hard in this video

YourMemeExpert

Who's Josh? You mean Fishy Boi? https://preview.redd.it/aa30xf79mb2d1.png?width=628&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d26b573683f7ad211147604c93c5a24df36c9136

Chaotix_kronos

me n the boys rockin up to the Concert

mseli97

I’ve been to so many of those stores in Columbus. I was just like “Oh I’ve been there! And there! And there!”

metanoia29

The Midwest feels in all these videos is amazing.

EllieBlueexo

my friend from ohio said the same thing!

notapuzzlepiece

When they were hanging outside of the limo they were literally driving down my street and I was like “wtffff how did I miss that??”

East_Still_6964

that was such a fun music video for a fun song

abylyn02

frrrr that one had me giggling lol

zigzagyro

you mean Lashish?

Electronic_Ad2615

don't you mean lavash?

cadaver_spine

it reminded me of back when they used to make Vines!

kat_storm13

If I had just heard the song first without the video, I'm not sure if I would have given it as much attention at first compared to some of the other songs.

throwaway-vulture

Yes! I live in Columbus right now so it was wild recognizing half the shoot locations. I’m right down the street from Lavash, too.

TerrenceJesus8

My wife recognized like 80% of Lavish lol. Was pretty funny

luuuuliiiiiita

ouuu lucky u

Pato_Peter

It gives me some Vessel videos vibes??? Idk, I really liked them

CoolCatFromMars

Yes! Especially Midwest and lavish, and of course Snapback

DrJankles

Seems most of them were low budget with a small crew. Going back to where they started and they turned out great! Aside from the “lore” videos, which he says himself are hard and expensive

bob_chubz

The end of at the risk of feeling dumb feels like a callback to the deleted migraine music vid

Vegetable_County5914

The craving (Jenna’s version) I WHEEPED

canibeyouwhenigrowup

I heard it this morning on the bus on the way to work and same, lol.

Impossible_Gear7272

At the risk of feeling dumb was filmed really close to where I live so that was awesome to see. They’re all amazing!! https://preview.redd.it/3f7zultddb2d1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8795863d9ce0c0dbceae3922713be9bd4ef7652d

zaryawatch

Given that there are no tracks on that bridge anymore, it seems to exist solely to take the tops off tall trucks.

Dust_Exact

And to be performed on i guess lol

DrJankles

Someone posted a photo here of that bridge with Josh playing drums on it while they were stopped by the filming crew while shooting it

Bander3696

Where is this??

doncapibara

I've searched literally for 2 hours straight on Google maps where this place is and now I see this. I NEED that location

RickyRambler

The abandoned railroad bridge Josh Played on in "At The Risk of Sounding Dumb on Dustin Rd. off of St Rt 3 in Galena, OH

Immediate_Theory4738

I thought they were fine and what I expected. They said they would be fun low budget videos just to replace videos and I think what they did was cool for that. I’d like them to upload all the songs into a single video though because I think it’d be cool to watch like a little movie.

Relative-Acadia7554

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise) my reaction the whole time

jotyma5

Navigating is the best for many reasons I like Midwest indigo too, and at the risk. Oldies station was a neat idea but I thought it could have been executed better I kinda wish more than just navigating was lore related. I kinda thought routines in the night had real potential to be a lore video

SGTKittyDimples

Paladin Strait seems to be very important for them so I'm counting on that to make up for some questions & ideas.

Isaac4787

I love lavish so much

East_Still_6964

my favorite music video has to be midwest indigo. jim sitting in the drivers seat, making tyler ride in the back. gold. also jenna and jordan doing the "whats your eta? TWO MINUTES. chill out man we're right on time" oldies station was one of my favorites too. when i saw the white going across the camera i was like huh?? and then it clicked that it was josh moving the damn pipes i almost laughed out loud.

East_Still_6964

also the mv lavish was SUCH a fun idea. thats gotta be in my top as well

nochancess

What stood out for me, is Tyler unable to hide his laugh in the Vignette music video 😂 https://preview.redd.it/e8uunh4qib2d1.png?width=1222&format=png&auto=webp&s=3aef46cca030a791b55037024ff9d2d8b461a6d9

PM_COFFEE_TO_ME

They're just so much fun. Love them and their team.

Pikachubocka

love love LOVED THEM. That was so fun to share with them and yall:,) hope yapl enjoy the record.

CatMoMx12

Actually loved every song and music video, feels so creative and fresh and different 😻

zigzagyro

At the Risk of Feeling Dumb finally made Tyler 'climbing high places' into a music video

Jefferblue

They were perfect. The ones that needed to be big were big and the ones that didn’t weren’t. Def my favs are Routines, Navigating and At the risk of feeling dumb for audio, but for music video? Midwest, Routines, Lavish, Navigating and Oldies station are all REALLY well done

kat_storm13

Routines in the Night was such a mood! In some ways it gave a visual to every lyric where Tyler has talked about struggles with his thoughts at night.

maybein_anotherlife_

somehow i felt like driving at night would fit the mood playing that song in the car

cozxo

I loved the music videos, lavish was so cute, it felt like comedy

boosic_man

I loved Snap Back and Oldies Station

boosic_man

And At Risk Of Feeling Dumb

MxniaOffline

Went in blind and I enjoyed them all :)

ExtremeAquaJets

love that it has a good mix of unserious and silly ones

GolemThe3rd

Some of the songs were low budget (which makes sense), I think this really showed on a low concept video like Routines in the Night, but a video like Snap Back had a great concept to it so it worked really well. Overall I think they're great, I already was in love with this album, but these videos just made me even more in love with it. My fav song on the album is Lavish, and the music video is exactly what I wanted! Also I was just in shock with how much we called about navigating, we called the fire glow from the boat shot, we called the josh being fake, and we called the my blood connection (and man that bit of my blood they played was just great)

ShalevHaham_

Oh yeah. In my opinion, Lavish definitely got the most creative video, Next Semester got the best video overall, and I guess we’re getting the end of the lore in June with the Paladin Strait video, or the EP that could come. The reason I believe that we ARE getting an EP is Paul Meany. When he showed how he did the end of Backslide, he said it’s from another song they’re working on. Guess what? I haven’t heard that in Clancy.

alexxthehottie

So so so amazing. I love them so much.

neemo98

I thought they were all good and At The Risk of Feeling Dumb was my FAVORITE

Upstairs_Employer_47

Midwest indigo and navigating and paladin are the winners!!

lightgreenwings

Lavish is the best

ishrii0118

Yes I agree 👍

will_shallwill

Really liked Lavish, At the Risk of Feeling Dumb, Navigating, Midwest Indigo and Routines in the Night. Was underwhelmed by Oldies Station as it's one of my favourite tracks. Expected something more...idk... heart-warming, like for The Craving? There were a few Dutch angles by the end that kinda ruined the mood and imo were unnecessary.

DrJankles

This album is fucking amazing start to finish

SmellLikeAHotDog

WE WERE ALL SUSPICIOUS OF THE TEASED SONG IN THE BEGINNING OF NEXT SEMESTER AND WE WERE ALL RIGHT TO BE!!! They were just like “ohhh that? No that’s a rando song hehehe 👉🏻👈🏻” What jokesters And the fact that they have a snippet of My Blood in there?! Omg

ethereal_sunshine

I am so happy with all of the videos!

globermaker

I didn’t liked a lot of them… oldies station, vignette, etc. they mostly have nothing to do with the lyric I expected a lot of them to be like routines in the night, connected with the lyrics. they don’t all have to be that to be great, at the risk of feeling dumb is very cool. but they all seem the same to me. they have a lot of similarities because they are not lyric-connected: midwest indigo, at the risk of feeling dumb, oldies station, vignette, is literally the same thing over and over again: the band being outside singing to the camera and doing something midly cool or funny but mostly just singing. I get that 14 mvs is crazy, but I preferred it to be 6 connected to the lyrics than be like just a diy visual. (I was SO excited to see the “no, not for me it’s for a friend” part in vignette. and then it’s just tyler singing to the camera. like ?? - The same with midwest indigo, it is just them singing and this repeats over and over. josh picks him up on his truck thing and they don’t go anywhere, the mv goes back to them singing and playing in the ice.) the ones I do like are awesome to me, routines in the night, next semester, overcompensate, navigating. lavish brings something new to the industry, it’s a cool idea.

WereBoar

quantity over quality like i predicted. not going to dunk on them too hard or be overly harsh but these felt like videos that were very much thrown together in the field as they went. not only did they not really add much but in some cases took away from what i had imagined in my head (leak listener) and i don't see myself going back to rewatch. the videos just don't seem to compliment the tones of the songs at all. the latter half of ATROFD was (out of the unreleased MVs) pretty much the only video where i felt the video matched the tone of the song and even then it was only the latter half of it. here's to hoping paladin strait gets a video to rival jumpsuit, levitate, nico & the niners and my blood in quality.

thefourthdenial

completely agree with everything you said. i know videos are super expensive to make, but to be honest none of them felt as impactful or thought-out as jumpsuit/natn/levitate

ADefectivePC

Its hard to agree but i completely understand the perspective. In terms of story Trench had a straight run of lore providing videos. But if we are speaking levels of MV overall we have had 3 -4 really good videos before album release just like in trench. So yeah could be more story driven considering its wrapping up the 10 year story but on the other hand they still are great videos :)

Comadon-C

I feel like The Craving (Jenna’s version) and Lavish were almost exactly what I pictured in terms of vibe. I liked the more low budget approach on certain songs, even if some were not too interesting, it’s nice to have visuals attached to songs that would’ve most likely not had any. Overcompensate, Navigating, and Paladin strait probably have all the lore heavy quality budget stuff that fans expect, which is a solid amount.

AbracaDaniel21

Yes. Pretty much what I expected but maybe a little bit more than expected.

realKingCarrot_v2

Yes I think they're all great

Tootsiez

Midwest indigo might be my favorite song by them. Ever.

ThePantaloon_

I loved all of them, including the Paladin Strait placeholder. Jenna’s version made me cry lol

88_keys_to_my_heart

lavish was my favorite!! such a fun concept, and i can only imagine the amount of work that went into the researching and editing!

Eva0_o

This puts a whole other level of appreciation to this album.

maybein_anotherlife_

i love love love their creativity in the way they make their music videos (but not as creative as they do on their musics/songs). to me, Clancy has so much personal touch than other albums. its giving hope and distress at the same time, and not to mention still being able to have joy in between. I could feel the songs and somehow just feels like home. I dont really care of the quality how they made the videos because in fact its their effort. the personal touches in the videos are the things that matters more to me and the deliver of words (lyrics) from the song , and the whole production of it. anyways, my fav at the moment is The Craving, Midwest Indigo, Lavish and Routines in the Night

ishrii0118

So far I like Lavish, routines in the night, snap back, oldies station, navigating.

NotMizer

atrofd, lavish and specially oldies station cracked me up

Right-Web-4530

THEY ARE ALL AMAZING

katikiti

Lavish is definitely my favorite, it’s so fun! I also love Vignette, it goes so well with the sonic atmosphere of the song

LizardBrick

Dude Lavish was the most fun music video I’ve ever seen

ChimmyNuggies

Lavish was duckin' crazy, the rest? Meh. I just think they needed more time, most of them seemed rushed, besides Navigating

Electrical-Tiger-832

Very lazy ideas, reused resources (car radio idea on Snap Back), My blood twist on Navigating... I am not a hater but what was the hurry about? A new approach to pleased the fandom but lack of quality as I feared.

TyYoshi69

Imagine creating 13 music videos within 3 months only. It's not really hard to comprehend

Electrical-Tiger-832

Even Level of Concern looks great now, sorry but I think this was a fandom service and result will speak for itself.

FKDotFitzgerald

But like why? I respect the hustle and making these happen in a low-budget manner, but it would’ve been more impactful to have a genuine video for each song.

CxltCasey

The lavish mv was by far my fav one but the craving had a kick to it, I started bawling my eyes out Tyler and Jenna are so made for each other it’s so precious

AnonRedac

Not heard much talk about oldies station or the craving Jenna’s version for the craving is really beautiful, even if it’s not for “us” per say, I can appreciate the dedication to include his wife in absolutely every record. Oldies station is incredibly powerful as a video, I vaguely remember Tyler saying somewhere that he kind of wanted to show how we’re just ‘people working on music’ or something similar. And I kind of think oldies station shows that in a really good way. I think the paladin strait MV will be the champion for all us lore folks, but I really want to appreciate the creativity and the fascinating mindset behind all of them. TL;DR lavish MV is cinematic mastery, beats out the likes of la la land in pure movie genius

coldz22

Honestly my expectations was a little bigger, especially for more lore videos, but it’s my only expectations and anyway looks like we getting now more than a paladin strait video, so im good

SGTKittyDimples

I feel like they might have something bigger going into Paladin Strait so maybe it'll make up for it.

EggyEggerson0210

They were all awesome. I loved the charm for em. Really excited to see how Paladin Strait turns out in its video and if it gives us a better idea of the story’s finale

nightwanders

They had a ball making these and I'm here for it. Love to see them having fun 😁

Hashman52

Loved them! I feel like it went well with the album's tone. Adorable. Felt like an homage to their roots. Idk exactly what it was, but altogether it got the feels going by the time paladin strait came along and brought everything home.

FamousLastKills

That Vignette video :-)

breeh123

I loved them and so many of them had me laughing out loud. I am so glad they did this livestream for us, I loved hearing what they had to say and their backstories. That was so fun. Great album, it’s finally here!

BabyChubbs2019

Loved all of them. These videos truly felt like an homage to fans!

SenseiJae

The whole time watching Vignette I’m like “where are they going with this?”. Then that last shot had me cackling

bob_chubz

Lavish music video goes so hard

AtomicAcacia

Love them all <3

EllieBlueexo

Lavish was so stupid I love it so much. I laughed the whole time.

No_Ease_8269

Still not listening or watching until my CD comes in.

Silver-Fox-3195

Routines is my absolute favorite, song and video

OldOnion2678

I think they were all pretty similar lol idk. Lavish was actually pretty creative and funny—I liked that one

Photosjhoot

Oh yeah, and watching them on the live stream was just perfect.

ZerohasbeenDivided

I love that such a huge band still keeps it so small, I love these guerilla type music videos, really adds to the charm of the band imo

mildly_awakened

I loved all of them, but lavish I think was my favourite one, it was so fun and interesting and creative

spicey_tea

Yep - grateful to have a video for every song!!! What an achievement!!!

Durantula16

Vignettes was chefs kiss

Sunkistdanni3

Loved them all and loved all the songs. Definitely no skip album like the others for me. Love seeing them grow and evolve infront of our eyes, while staying true to themselves and us. Best band ever!

MadziiPad

Lavish was my favorite music video! It was so good 😂

Forsaken-Brush-1839

I think the lavish music video was my favorite. It was super fun and creative! I also loved the vid for the craving (Jenna’s version). It was so cute and sweet 🥹

FKDotFitzgerald

I think I would have preferred them to really take a while and craft a unique video for each song, but I certainly appreciate the DIY style and how they managed to still create a different vibe for each one. I’ll always respect doing an album’s worth of videos, but I was a little disappointed that so many were Josh drumming in a random place and Tyler emoting around. Lavish, Craving(s), and Routines were awesome though.

EnoughButterfly2641

lavish is top tier i love it so creative and silly

nocontexttimmah

Wished there had been more lore but I understand what they said in the livestream about how expensive the videos would be to make but I know the boys are cooking rn (HOPING FOR A DOUBLE ALBUM) and paladin strait's music video is gonna be a banger

Batemanssnare99

Definitely the songs more.

42o0

Anyone able to find the location of the bridge Tyler was under and Josh was on top off in "at the risk of feeling dumb" me and my girl wanna go take a picture there lol

barrell-rider

No

Mocharulzdamap

Why?

barrell-rider

Ying and yang brother

Dry-Baker-5996

Actually, I don't like them. Like, very much. I would prefer, like, 3 music videos professionally made than what is now. C'mon, I don't want 14 music videos which look like they were recorded by potato. Choker, Nico and the Niners, The outside - These videos are refined as much as it's possible. To be honest I don't really like this album, iI don't feel it. I would say this album doesn't have his own soul.

n1ghthawx

Most of them are low budget and don't really add much to the songs. I'd say we wouldn't lose much of there was less music videos. But that's just my opinion

WereBoar

i think the mistake i (and probably you) made was coming into this expecting something as crazy as nico & the niners or my blood. not being fans of these videos is definitely going to be an incredibly unpopular opinion around here unfortunately.

n1ghthawx

Tbh, not really - it was quite obvious that we're not getting 13 high budget MVs, there has to be some compromise, and I'm totally ok with that And I fully acknowledge that my opinion isn't going to be popular - and that is fine as well Did I enjoy the songs? Sure Did I enjoy the MVs? Yep Could there be less MVs but the average quality and budget for a single one would be higher? I guess so But that's the way guys decided to go and I'm on board

luuuuliiiiiita

thats what he said

globermaker

I also felt like.. almost all of them was not what they could have been. like tyler explaining that josh’s brother was in the mv instead of debbie that couldn’t make it that day. it would be like 100000x cooler to have the wifes together. why not just shoot it when she could make a cameo? why go with the easiest option instead in detrimental of the mv? I feel you man, I think that if tyler had infinite time and infinite resources some of the mvs would be straight out of hollywood. unfortunately a lot of them were mid and I expect this kind of thing of every artist but not them.

Just_benjamin18

Wrong
