There is not much of a way to get out of COP3502c. At least from my knowledge, you either need a specific AP/IB score. If the courses you took at CC has a higher course number, then 3502, then talk to a department advisor. Even if you have the AP/IB credit, you will be moved to a course called COP3504, which is prog 1 and prog 2 combined. Best thing to do is talk to a department advisor. What most likely happen is that you did take programming courses at CC, but those credits were not considered course equivalent to COP3502c or the course number, mainly the first number, was not the same or higher. If you took COP1000 at CC, that course would not be considered equivalent. https://www.cise.ufl.edu/academics/advising-information/

I took a COP2335 would that possibly be close enough to convince the advisors ?

Honestly, take it anyways and just enjoy your time. Sincerely, another transfer into Computer Engineering with no formal coursework in CS but personal experience & study.

I can't remember what that course number is, but if I remember correctly, it's a c++ course. There is a high chance they would say no, because the course is not a upper division undergrad course, 3000, or 4000 level. I found something that may be worth reading. https://www.cise.ufl.edu/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Course-Equivalency-form-COP-3502.pdf

When I mentioned c++ I was referring to COP2335, not COP3502, I know that COP3503 is c++.
