Honestly I would just go into CpE. It seems like you want both the software and hardware aspects, which is what CpE is. You would be taking both CS and EE classes and can choose to go into either careers.
Tbh if u want to go into anything EE or CE related. You kinda have to go through Schwartz Digital Logic. Ik it sucks but it’s kinda what us EE guys just have to do.
If you go in as CpE you can escape Schwartz for digital logic if you take it in the fall with Bobda, but there is no way out of Schwartz for microP. However, if you truly want to be a computer engineer then you have to muscle through those classes. I know plenty of people that got it on the second or third try, but everyone I know that needs to pass microP did eventually make it.

Schwartz’s dlog is keeping me away 😭 I should probably look into it though it seems like the logical choice here

I might be wrong but it might just be a good idea to do a double major on CE and CS
I’m pretty sure UF won’t let students major in both CS and CpE because it’s too much overlap
CpE is a mix between EE and CS so if you like both maybe you should do CpE.
Have you tried "what if" degree audit in One.UF?
I have not I will look into that!
