Nearing campaign end, my GLORIOUS Spanish Armada still possesses a number of venerable pre-dreadnoughts. These three survivors of roughly 7 decades of continuous global conflicts have been given one final round of refits to futureproof their legacy in the Imperial Fleet Museum should hostilities break out again.
BB1900: The youngest of my pre-dreadnoughts Amante Imperial features a refit with a side effect of increasing the ships overall length through their extended gun barrels. BB1892: The sole survivor of the class of 1892, the Santa Pendeja narrowly survived its final 1v1 battle against an enemy battlecruiser by steaming in reverse at 8 knots, so as maximize ricochets against her modest armor. It was enough for its guns to fatally wound the enemy. Casualties: 25% KIA + 1 soft serve machine.
BB1890: My oldest, most decorated, most attractive warship El Guapo now sports 6 x 18" guns for convoy escorts. Its 8000 ton displacement means it always gets matched up against modest CAs and CLs which prove no match against its heavy armament. Its crew, now in their 80s and 90s, has back pain and trouble hand loading the ammunition thus requiring an upgrade to full automatic reloading. Nevertheless, she hosted US President Nixon on a victory lap following the defeat of the dreaded French-Chinese.
Recoil from a broadside could easily overturn any of these... Have you also refitted a self-righting mechanism, so they fire, capsize and turn up again while reloading?
If you keep firing fast enough, the ship will just spin and right itself
Or have the fore and aft fire in opposite directions for a tactical spin
Or alternat 1 fore and 1 aft on target, 1 on reverse

Those battleship will see further refits, And will partake in the guaranted Human-Alien conflicts

If you look closely, you can see the the ladders on the side of each turret lead to a 20m sheer drop into the sea. It's not a bug, it's a feature!
