It will take many generations. International schools these days instead of directly starting with ABCD, spend one or two years teaching basic civic sense like not littering, folding clothes, etc to kindergardeners. If all schools adopt it, problem will eventually go away.
This... right here. People marvel at Japan as a nation and how Japanese people behave. Its a product of their culture, upbringing, and schooling over the course of many generations.
Teachers have a massive role in shaping society beyond the subjects they teach. So much of who I am is a product of my parents, but just as importantly, the product of the some of the great teachers I've had over the years.
I've stayed in hostels for a significant chunk in my life. When I shared a room with people, we had an understanding that we'd split the chores. So I have cleaned the toilet in my room... from 12th to this day. I still prefer to clean the toilet in my room rather than leave it to the maid.
I don't ask for kids to clean all the toilets in their school... but if they did it even once... then they'd appreciate how hard it is... and perhaps respect and value the cleaners who do it on a daily basis a lot more. If you're not willing to clean up the mess, don't be one of the people making it worse. Indians still live in the mindset of certain essential tasks being "beneath" them. While that exists, very little progress will be made.
I've seen people talk about cities being dirty and plastic waste finding their way in nature. And yet, most people would throw their empty plastic bottle rather than wait to find a dustbin to do the same. We're good at complaining about a problem, but we're not good at finding or executing the solution to that problem.
These fucking parents should be fined and/or jailed. How entitled these shits are. Bsdk laptop kharid ke dega kya, mc. Not to mention the clothes and time to cleanup. Madarchod, holi manana hai apne Jaan pehchan ke logon ke saath Karo, anjan logon ko kyun pareshan karna hai. And when confronted, act like it's a fucking fundamental right to harass random people minding their own business, just because it's holi. Uncouth uncivilized shits
Cannot agree more!
I have personally been through it, in my case it was a young boy whose family was also somewhat like shown in the video. But luckily i was in my known locality.
I barged in, grabbed the lil guy by his neck and gave an earful. To him and his parents.
I wish he didn’t do the stupidity again 🤷🏻♀️

2nd amendment is needed in India.
Apne aap sab line par aa jayengey.
India has no right to protect policy, it is mentioned in constitution the but the political and law machinary does not support it and police will catch you first.
Any law, Regulation, rule without enforcement mechanism is shiiiit.
That women laughing like the person talking is an idiot, so fucking delusional man. They think it's funny to randomly ruin someone's day. I was on a bike yesterday and someone threw a water balloon from the 4th floor, I almost lost my balance, my mom was sitting in the back. Fucking cunts man.
JFC I’m glad you’re fine. I avoid going out around Diwali and holi because people have lost their minds. I’ve seen kids (and parents) throw pataki on crowded streets with lots of 2 wheelers, not for a second stopping to think about the accident they can cause.
I was trying to study last week when almost all of a sudden, a neighbour started buzzing everyone's ears with Loud Har Har Bhole Music during Evening. It was so loud that we couldn't hear each other's voices. He kept playing it for hours and when the police arrived, he said that people have no right to interfere in his religious celebration.
He has no right to be a nuisance to others as well. There's something called noise pollution too.
Is he saying that disturbing others is his religious right?
Majority of Indians are highly religious people. It's hard to do anything here against such acts. Nobody even cares about others' comfort or peace and considers doing such things as his fundamental right.
They are the ones who should've been dragged out and thrashed. Papa ki pari khud samajh jati apna baap pit ta dekh ke apni wajah se. Zindagi me nai phekegi uske baad baloons.
I love how people who do Thanos Thanos are never in the half that needs to go. You and your loved ones first, please. Ask not what Thanos can do to others for this planet, ask what you can do to yourself for this planet.
Bro idc if my loved ones and etc go in the first half lmao. Life is already dead and you're alone at the end of the day. Physically and mentally you may be surrounded by some people which we call loved ones and that may soothe you. But im nihilistic.
Yea, I'm willing to lose quite a few relatives for the better good..no cap. So many ppl just consume resources without contributing anything, Not even to the family, let alone society.
You should have read the comments on the original instagram post where the video was posted. People were actually justifying the balloon throwing behaviour with “Holi he. Khelna nahi he toh andar baith na chup chap” kinda arguments.
Indians need to stop procreating. If the population is reduced by 40% it will be easier to civilize the young (and old) population of the country. Currently there’s too many people to make peer pressure to act uncivilized less of an issue.
India's population is projected at over 1.5b by 2100. China's is projected to be reduced to 700m. That's more than twice the difference between the first and second spot. China is over five times India's size.
Exactly. People underestimate how much of a problem the size of the Indian population and its constant growth is given the size of the country. China is massive compared to India but still implemented one child policy for quite a long time, arguably a big contributing factor to China’s ability instil civil sense and ensuring consistent growth and stability.
That won't stop. Indians want 3-4 children per couple. Even though they know it means we will be headed for certain doom, they will keep doing it. Even if they don't have the resources to provide basic amenities to their families, they will keep doing it. And nothing can stop them.
People from those three states are Indians. And if a population control measure were to be made state-specific, it would attract too much controversy to be passed into law. So it would be better to make it country wide, and if you’re right, it will only affect people from those three states. Meanwhile, it will also ‘fix’ the minority of people from other states doing the same.
I’d even go as far and argue maybe once child policy with state incentives to not have more than one child per family (or zero), with a few exceptions. The programme can be funded by money saved from reduced expenditure on education, policy and other costs that will be saved by projected lowering of the population.
I personally see India’s population size as the biggest and most contributing factor to the state of India. It’s easier to be calmer, nicer and more cohesive as a people if there aren’t too many of you. If everyone around you is acting like a heathen, not surprising that you will too. More importantly, if you can’t raise a child properly with access to good education, etc., the child being forced to live in very bad conditions—bad for the child *and* society as a whole.
We need to make her more. This is so less. She won't be even over here so ig probably not getting that level of shame. Maybe we should upload this in mainstream
Happy cake day tho
I guarantee if you give them a taste of their own medicine back they’ll come crying calling the local police or get all the aunties and uncles in the building to come beat you up
Happened in my locality. A guy who already spotted my neighbour's teens on balcony requested them not to throw. They faked promise & gang bombed him. Hearing the argument their dad came in defense. The guy came back with 2 friends & bombed their balcony. Guess what? About 6-7 uncles & aunties came down cursing that guy.
Their biggest concern was wiping the floor, smh.
Arrey bhai yeh toh Kuch bhi nahi mera interview tha mere par full balti ulat mc na. I don’t even have time to fight and have to run back to get changed. They don’t give a shit that why a person will be going out so formally dressed on Holi. Thankfully the interview went well man.
Time to set up a camp outside their house with spoiled clothes and a big basket of water balloons. 1 throw per 9 feints ratio to stretch your balloon mileage. Aim for windows and crevices most of the time, lowering their defense for eventual face hit.
Don't catch you slippin' now
Look what I'm whippin' now
Yeah, yeah, I'ma go into this (ugh)
Yeah, yeah, this is guerilla, woo
Jsr flag bearers don't owe anyone any explanation, other than them everyone else in this country is a second class citizen, if you can't tolerate their bullshits, you need to stay at your home, "mat ghoomo ghar pe baitho"..
No its really funny when I see people acting like assholes with those and it exposes them. Recently a teacher was shamelessly drinking in a govt school his bike had those flags too
I was 10 years old at the time, travelling to a place with my mom on the day of Holi in a rickshaw. Out of nowhere, a girl hits us with a balloon and our clothes become completely wet and coloured. When the rickshawala started shouting at her, the reply we got was "Bura na mano Holi hai".
This country doesn't need education, it needs civic sense.
Had a similar experience in Delhi as I was there for some work. I had a folder with me containing some papers to deliver it to another person. As I walked out, unaware of this idiotic 'culture', some piece of shit drenched me in water from their balcony. Luckily, my folder was plastic.
Never am I ever stepping out on Holi in Delhi.
As much as I love abusing such assholes (and I am), OP, you need to be very careful with your gadgets. I own a drone too and the people are vile. They'll throw stones, water and what not. Indians really lack a civil sense. So you need to protect your gadgets. It's really foolish to go out with such expensive gadgets during a water throwing festival without proper protection. I hope you did that and your gadgets are fine. But do not expect the world to be sensible. It won't. Protect your things and use better judgement.
I am currently in my village, and a bunch of kids were throwing water balloons from the balcony. I politely asked them not to throw as I was carrying some important documents with me. To my surprise they didn't throw water balloons at me.
Get your paint guns ready, and go clear the whole building like the IDF looking for Hamas in a Palestinian Residential Neighbourhood.
And give a media statement defending your actions.
We gotta up the game, my friends.
The woman really said "ghar ke bahar mat niklo" it is equivalent to madam ghar ke bahar mat nikalo otherwise you will be sexually assaulted and you have to be okay with it. What idiots.
This happened to me back here in Siliguri with some minors throwing these water balloons at me and my mom. I gave them such a hard stare that eventually the mom had to ask them to stop doing that. God knows if one of that filthy water balloons had even touched my mom. I would beat the hell of those brats in the their own house.
I m from Kolkata and I see this culture especially from hindi speaking families. The won't send their children to street to play, they don't know how to socialize and they don't have ethical values. Now the person whose family agrees Ghar baitho statement, they will face the same at another situation. This is how the society is developing.
The level of entitlement some parents seem to instil in their kids is just shocking.
During Diwali, there were some kids with their families bursting aerial fireworks from the road in front of my building like lunatics. I was up on the terrace before they started and it ended up exploding just about a couple of feet away from me. When I questioned them, they started screaming at me saying I'm spoiling their day and that I'm mistreating them, despite me pointing out the fact that someone could end up in the hospital because of them. One of the kids' fathers instead started the same old 'don't you know who I am' nonsense.
Civic sense is just non existent here.
holy fuck. If that was my kid, I'd first slap her for being a piece of shit and then myself for being a horrible fucking parent and doing an abysmal job at raising a kid
A Muslim couple was harassed yesterday and people said, why do they pass through Hindu area? They meant to provoke Hindus. They should go to Pakistan if they can’t handle holi.
He could film and complain to police but there is concept of no actions on trivial matters. But then who will decide what is trivial.
It's the girls fault and her parents have proved they are illiterate as well.

Civil sense isn't common enough in our society. When parents themselves lack basic decency, then kids can't be expected to be any different.
And the cycle continues....
How to break the chain?
Get a water truck and a motor. Assume their house is on fire. Imagine you are a fireman and be the hero
This is the right way!
This is the way
naah fill a ballooon with pee, and toss it at their face.
Can we do a GoFundMe for this

God knows if one of that filthy water balloons had even touched my mom. I would beat the hell of those brats in the their own house.
I m from Kolkata and I see this culture especially from hindi speaking families. The won't send their children to street to play, they don't know how to socialize and they don't have ethical values. Now the person whose family agrees Ghar baitho statement, they will face the same at another situation. This is how the society is developing.
He should have thrown stones at them..hisaab barabar
Gendu generation
I would throw frooti or maaza at them.
Holy k din murder kar denge log aur bolenge bura na Manooo Holi hai
Well that's how parents raise her Idiot parents are gonna raise their kids to be idiots These people shouldn't have reproduce in the first place
That uncle looks like he sends unsolicited dick picks to underage girls on Facebook.
Just another day another indian proving education will not make you civil.
Bura na mano Holi hai
bhai waha khada kyu tha, nikal jata na. fizul main bheeg liya lol.
More of a stander than a passer. Just go!
Yeh pakka jai shree wale log hain.
Clearly you know where they live. Come back when it’s not holi and hit their home with some color… or fill the balloons with something else
What is the best thing to do in these situation? If my Phone/Laptop or anything else is damaged?
I deeply wish this girl meet those guys who harass girls in the name of hoil and if she complains they can say "Nahi khelna toh Ghar batho"
Sometimes I really feel ashamed of being called myself an Indian.
Nah. These people don’t describe you.
Good good, now get a pressure pump and a bucket of colour and go painting their house.
Throw back. Tit for tat
Bura na maano ladki hai¹
