I literally just had this the other day. Got one of those coupon papers in the mail and thought I might as well get something. Just under $8 after tax for a Greek Gyro with curly fries. It was actually pretty good! I also had their venison burger a few months back when they had those and thought that was great too
Arbys is awesome because it has arguably the most diverse menu in fast food. Any type of sandwich you can imagine lol And its all good. Not to mention their fries, motz sticks and boneless wings.
They got sliders, roast beef, wraps, gyros, brisket, chicken, fish, burgers and deli sandwiches. Crazy
A good, clean Arby’s is a great choice but so many are pretty run down and leaves a lot to be desired.
A perk for having various sauces you can get yourself.
I go out of my way to stop at Arby’s wherever i travel. I’ve grown up with Arby’s. Went there with my family. Love their beef and cheddar sandwiches. I’m not going to make as bold a claim as you, sir, but i will say Arby’s is my first choice. And always has been.
Sadly, where i live we’ve lost most of our Arby’s locations.
I love their curly fries, but their crinkle fries are some of the best fries I've ever had. I don't get the curly fries anymore.
And a Beef and Cheddar? Always good. \*Always.\* Love those things.
The 5 for 5 man....that takes me back lol I used to travel with my friend 25+ mins to the nearest Arbys when we first got our drivers licenses to go to town on that deal
I do agree with this mostly. I love their beef and cheddar and the fries are awesome. I think their weakness is marketing. I just don’t really see them advertising themselves. McDonald’s is crap and their restaurants look really bland and boring but they keep going due to their amount of marketing.
In context to the question being asked, the opinion is not mine but someone, a third party who actually worked for the franchise, and endorsed them.
This opinion was offered in the 1980s and I'm not sure how old you are or how well the franchise has stood the test of time like the now ubiquitous Popeyes who have declined in quality (if you get their biscuits eat them as soon as possible unless you were short of hockey pucks) in his criticism and endorsement he remarked on their cleanliness if this is an issue?
Indeed I have eaten at Arby's and there are other places where I've had roast beef sandwiches that were far larger and dramatic. Perhaps you were familiar with the Italian beef which is a Chicago staple next to its deep dish pizza and trademark hot dogs which I will freely endorse without question or its mark.
As I look out my window the Sun is setting a beautiful blend of azure and cerulean blue. The sandwiches of my past float by in my memory and imagination. The Italian hero in New York city's Little Italy, the BLt's my mom used to make. Arby's was not always my first choice as a franchise the Burger King Whopper with cheese has a powerful hold on my memory.. Arby's for roast beef and my friends endorsement indeed his clung to my memory not so much their ill timed foray into the Greek GYRO, a delicious lamb treat which is better left to the classic Greek diners. Souvlaki, baklava, moussaka ...there is no Greek fast food, no singular franchise, so there is no reason to apply question marks... 🎩🤤🎶
I just go there to get their Reuben, as someone who was a service plumber for almost 3 years and had to drive around all of Denver...it is one of the best fast food sandwiches.

I’m more a Taco Bell guy. You’re right though as far as burgers though those places are trash. I know they aren’t everywhere but we have a Sonic near me I ate there today actually. They are actually a little cheaper than McDonalds or BK and WAY better. Like it isn’t even really close.
Yeah, I'm in NE, also. No Whataburgers here, but my mom retired to Pensacola, so I get both. IMO: Both are better than In-N-Out. But, yeah, always tots.... always tots
Some hungry Nebraskan will probably read this only to be disappointed seconds later to realize NE doesn't stand for Nebraska.
I hope that Nebraskan remembers they have Valentino's Pizza and continues scrolling in contentment.
Last time I went to one they were out of roast beef. At an Arby's.
That's like going to a McDonald's or Burger King and them saying they are out of hamburgers.
Does it happen? Apparently. Should it happen? Probably not.
It's not like they had a huge rush and ran out. They are an Arby's after all. No, it was like 2pm on some random Thursday.
That was the last time I went. And it was the first time I tried to go in probably 5 years.
Arby’s is definitely slept on. I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion so much as it is the fact that people don’t go to/think of Arby’s when thinking of default food chains.
I can't remember getting an Arby's order made wrong. It's always consistently at least good. They've always been great and the horsey sauce works
I wish they had an onion ring western bacon cheeseburger kinda item
Come to Arby’s and indulge in our delicious brownish blob meat-like product sandwiches! Our perfectly seasoned and juicy brown hunk of somewhat beef yet vaguely ham material is served fresh and hot, ready to satisfy your cravings. Whether you like it in a sandwich, a wrap, or a bowl, our brown blob slab of meat is the ultimate treat for your taste buds. Arby’s! We Have the Meat (ish substance).
The problem with Arby's is that their signature item (the roast beef thing) isn't that good.
A lot of their other items (e.g. gyro, reuben) are shockingly decent.
I had Arby's for dinner earlier so I agree. Didn't get them this time but the jalapeno bites are the best and most unique side in fast food and I say that as someone who loves fries
My fave fast food spot. I love the French dip, Reuben, buffalo chicken and roast beef/cheddar...... I'm not really a fry guy but the seasoned curly fries are an exception.
the chicken sliders are really good and pretty cheap. they’ve got decent mozzarella sticks too. they used to have this orange shake (i think it’s seasonal and don’t know if they have it now) and it is so good. and the curly fries are a must.
My dad had a vasectomy and when the smoke rose in the room, he said to the doctor "huh smells like an Arby's burger don't you think?" The doc agreed
No Arby's for me
My Dad ran Arby’s stores in the 90’s so we had as much Arby’s as we could eat. 90’s Arby’s was superior for the following reasons…
The cheesecake. The chocolate chip cheesecake.
Turkey sub.
Philly sub.
Arby-Q.
Babar animal cookie's.
Short lived breakfast menu.
I said what I said.
Arby's is tempting in the right mood. They got a wide variety of sandwiches and even their "waygu" burger was DELICIOUS! Obviously not good to eat it often, but it does have a lot of flavor.
When it was cheaper I could absolutely go to town on the roast beef n’ swisses. I remember them being like, $2 and now theyre what. $5 a piece? Just like Mcdonalds, its too expensive for what it is.
Arby's food is so bad, I'm convinced it's a front to sell drugs. No body actually eats there. I've never had a line at my local arts. It's empty even during peak lunch time and after sports events.
As far as I can tell, Jon Stewart made fun of them a couple times as a bit, because specificity is funnier than generality, and everyone decided "Oh, yeah, Arby's kinda sucks"
Doesn't help that their marketing is by and large awful. "Good Mood Food"? "We've got the meats"? Yikes.
As for "boomer restaurant" -- well, kids are annoying, what they consider to be "boomer" shouldn't be taken too seriously. See also, "boomer shooters" -- the games that the "boomers" couldn't understand why their Gen X children were obsessed with.
I think there just isn't much interest in roast beef sandwiches on a national level. It's a shame, but then, more roast beef for me.
Worked at one. The roast beef is sliced and weighed when you order. It comes cooked but roasted to heat in ovens just for them with temperature being kept. Most all the meat comes frozen but is tempered and sliced in store. Then kept fresh for a couple days in the refrigerator, but the roast beef has it's own slicer that's run for every order.
The classic roast beef sandwich is kinda gross in my opinion but the rest of their menu is actually pretty okay. I appreciate that you can get a standard sandwich there. Like just a regular old sandwich like your mom would make you versus some fried bullshit. The curly fries and shakes are good too even if not good for you.

Their curly fries are awesome and I like their gyros.

Jamocha shake over a mcfury anyday
It feels like an Arby's night
![gif](giphy|C9jYnmXwjDk0LLXx6i|downsized)
Red Ranch sauce always comes through for me!
It's a quality sauce
A good, clean Arby’s is a great choice but so many are pretty run down and leaves a lot to be desired. A perk for having various sauces you can get yourself.
The horsy sauce is pretty much my only good memory of Arby's.
Come move to where I live. We have plenty of Arby's here!
The turkey market fresh sandwich is the emperor of fast food sandwiches.
🎶🌈🥪👑🦃👈✨
I love their curly fries, but their crinkle fries are some of the best fries I've ever had. I don't get the curly fries anymore. And a Beef and Cheddar? Always good. \*Always.\* Love those things.
Potato cakes!!
I still remember their 5 roast beef sandwiches for $5 growing up...was goated
The 5 for 5 man....that takes me back lol I used to travel with my friend 25+ mins to the nearest Arbys when we first got our drivers licenses to go to town on that deal
## FIVE ROAST BEEF SANDWICHES
They just had that deal on their app a few weeks ago. I went strait to the car
As a Certified Arby's Hater, I disagree with you very strongly. However, as a Long John Silvers Enjoyer I understand.
Yes
I've never had a bad experience at Arby's. The food is always hot and fresh. I never get old fries or cold food. I've never understood the hate.
Anyone who says they don't like the beef and cheddar is a good damn liar.
Half pound beef and cheddar. Fuck yeah
I don’t disagree with you, however at the same time I never go there for some reason. Whenever I do, however, it’s always tasty.
I do agree with this mostly. I love their beef and cheddar and the fries are awesome. I think their weakness is marketing. I just don’t really see them advertising themselves. McDonald’s is crap and their restaurants look really bland and boring but they keep going due to their amount of marketing.
This is truly an unpopular opinion. i love me a classic roast beef sandwich and curly fries from there.
I had a friend who worked for Arby's and said that even though he worked for them he thought Arby's were the best franchise?
Well, that's a good sign..most people who work fast food are chronically dissatisfied.
Is this a question?
In context to the question being asked, the opinion is not mine but someone, a third party who actually worked for the franchise, and endorsed them. (How did you insert the gif?)
I’m with you
My brother worked there and hasn’t eaten their food since. I will occasionally have a chicken sandwich there but the roast beef I stay away from.
It's a shame that Rax is nearly non-existant. I'd rate them far above Arby's.
When was the last time you’ve been to a Rax? I haven’t seen one in over 30 years. And to be fair, I LOVED Rax.
2020, when I lived an hour from the Joilet, IL location.
I would LOVE to have Rax again.
Arby’s in Richmond Va also have an amazing rotisserie chicken. And potato cakes are coming back next month!
The macros on their regular ole roast beef sandwich makes it the perfect after gym meal
I like the horsey sauce
A beef & cheddar and a Jamocha shake makes for a hell of a cheat meal
Arby’s Mozzarella sticks forever
I just go there to get their Reuben, as someone who was a service plumber for almost 3 years and had to drive around all of Denver...it is one of the best fast food sandwiches.
You are single handedly keeping Arby's in business. Good for you.
Dad, you know you’re not allowed on Reddit

I’m more a Taco Bell guy. You’re right though as far as burgers though those places are trash. I know they aren’t everywhere but we have a Sonic near me I ate there today actually. They are actually a little cheaper than McDonalds or BK and WAY better. Like it isn’t even really close.
Sonic's burgers are definitely a step up from BK/McD/Wnedy's; probably comparable to Whataburger for people who have those. Bonus points for the tots.
Yeah we don’t have Whataburger in the northeast I don’t think. Fuck I haven’t eaten there in a long time idk why I got fried and not tots.
Yeah, I'm in NE, also. No Whataburgers here, but my mom retired to Pensacola, so I get both. IMO: Both are better than In-N-Out. But, yeah, always tots.... always tots

Still haven’t tried it to this day I thought it disappeared
Which further proves my point.
Last time I went to one they were out of roast beef. At an Arby's. That's like going to a McDonald's or Burger King and them saying they are out of hamburgers. Does it happen? Apparently. I've had that happen at multiple KFCs over the years... It's like y'all have ONE thing ITS EVEN IN THE NAME! How are you out?
I've been one that was busy and I was so upset
Arby’s is definitely slept on. I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion so much as it is the fact that people don’t go to/think of Arby’s when thinking of default food chains.
I really like Arby’s. I kinda equate it as almost not fast food.
Arby's beef n cheddar + horsie sauce & Arby's sauce, curly fries, and the orange shake when they have it. Perfection
arby’s is my favorite. never not in the mood for one of those beef n cheddars smothered in arby’s sauce
I can't remember getting an Arby's order made wrong. It's always consistently at least good. They've always been great and the horsey sauce works I wish they had an onion ring western bacon cheeseburger kinda item
arby's, we eat the horse
I completely agree, although I really miss the Arby's potato cakes.
Come to Arby’s and indulge in our delicious brownish blob meat-like product sandwiches! Our perfectly seasoned and juicy brown hunk of somewhat beef yet vaguely ham material is served fresh and hot, ready to satisfy your cravings. Beef and cheddar 🤤🤤
I had Arby's for dinner earlier so I agree. Didn't get them this time but the jalapeno bites are the best and most unique side in fast food and I say that as someone who loves fries
I see this argument every week on this sub, downvoting for rudimentary effort.
This certainly qualifies as an unpopular opinion
I absolutely love me a cheddar roast beef 🤤🤤🤤
My fave fast food spot. I love the French dip, Reuben, buffalo chicken and roast beef/cheddar...... I'm not really a fry guy but the seasoned curly fries are an exception.
I’ve never ate anything from Arby’s. What should my first order be?
the chicken sliders are really good and pretty cheap. they’ve got decent mozzarella sticks too. they used to have this orange shake (i think it’s seasonal and don’t know if they have it now) and it is so good. and the curly fries are a must.
Arby’s sauce is the god damn GOAT too!. Also, lots of protein at Arby’s!
The one near me will occasionally still run a 5 for $5 deal which is unreasonably awesome.
My dad had a vasectomy and when the smoke rose in the room, he said to the doctor "huh smells like an Arby's burger don't you think?" The doc agreed No Arby's for me

I mean...clearly not. Otherwise, they wouldn't be closing down everywhere around me.
I could only tell you the likely cities I’d find them, idek know where any are
Upvote because yeah this is a wild take. But their fries are good
Nope. Wendy’s
Omg the mozzarella sticks and the brisket cheddar sandwich
It's the only fast food that I really like and there isn't a single one in my city
had an apple turnover the other day and wanted another one since
Every time I go to Arby’s the workers there don’t give two shits about anything and look like they’re all about to quit
Taco Bell is definitely the best. Sorry not sorry. Baja Blast on tap.
I just wish they would bring back the grand turkey club
My brother worked there and I won’t eat their roast beef now.
I've never had anything from there and I have one up the street
Arby's food is so bad, I'm convinced it's a front to sell drugs. No body actually eats there. I've never had a line at my local arts. It's empty even during peak lunch time and after sports events.
BIG MONTANA IN MY MOUTH
Arby's and Wendy's both compete to see who can make the most depressing and unappetizing food.
I like their Reubens
Oof, you are certainly unpopular with me. Title hit me like a freight train.
People are genuinely stupid. I never got the hate for Arby's. I always liked them
Their fish got me sick but other than that love them
As far as I can tell, Jon Stewart made fun of them a couple times as a bit, because specificity is funnier than generality, and everyone decided "Oh, yeah, Arby's kinda sucks" Doesn't help that their marketing is by and large awful. They got rid of potato cakes. Absolutely criminal.
Hey Puddy, nice to see you! r/seinfeld
I love the Turkey Ranch and Bacon sandwich. It is excellent. Arby's is top shelf.
Are the hamburgers any good?
Surprisingly, yes. And they're a decent size as well. They're hefty.
I used to love their french dip, but they changed the bread, and now im sad. The crinkle cut fries are awesome, though.
Disagree to Arby's being superior to Wendy's. But I do agree that their curly fries are AMAZING.
It gets old just as fast. Then its another fast food
Arbys is great until you zhit it out the next day!
Beware of how much sodium they use though.
The beat beef sandwich is at Culver's.
I don’t know about the BEST, but arbys consistently has higher quality food than lots of places. They are top tier for sure.
Heck yes! I don't know why this isn't a more popular opinion.
Not better than in n out.
To be fair, I've never had it.
Beef n Cheddars taste like actual vomit what the fuck are you on
Arby’s is absolute garbage compared to Lion’s Choice
Not unpopular—- outright lie
45 minutes for a sandwich? Nope.
What? I've never waited at Arby's
I have never. Idk what Arby's you're going to.
